Mustread WF Rule Changes & Clarifications

Some changes you should know about, and clarifications of current rules too, so you don't have to go around asking Guides, Mods and Admins.

New Rules:
- No ebook promotions allowed. Period. Not in your sig, not as a new thread, not as a reply, not via PM, NOTHING. I don't care if you didn't write it, or if it's 25 cents, if it's not being listed as FREE, then it has no place on this forum. That's all there is to it.
Clarifications of this rule: If you are caught breaking this rule, you will be banned immediately, no second chances. It should be quite obvious by now that we are very against the sale of ebooks here. I don't care what someone else told you or what you read at a different forum, if you promote it here, you risk losing your account. If you are caught doing it on a different username, we will IP ban you. If you think that by logging on here with a proxy will protect you, you're wrong. We are using a new custom plugin that overrides proxies and shows us your genuine IP, and thus results in a lifelong ban.

- Do not request that people email you or PM you information on a service or product as a result of the original thread's topic. This will result in a temporary ban of 10-30 days.
Clarifications of this rule: If you are too fucking lazy to use the search feature and just want information quickly, by posting "email me info plz" or "PM me info privately" -- tough fucking luck buddy. This is a public forum and information here should be made public for the general use and quality of the community. There are certain private areas here for people who contribute and are being rewarded for their activity and general loyalty to helping our community out. Just because you are either too lazy or don't feel like doing the work to ask normal questions or seek out the answers and post them here yourself doesn't mean someone will be giving it to you just because you asked nicely. Instead, we'll politely ban your ass for up to 1 month.

- Scam here, and you will be banned for life. Chances are also pretty good that your full information will be posted publicly here to ensure that you do not attempt to poison us with your crap again.
Clarification: If you are advertising a product or a service, and there is a scam alert on what you've promised to provide, meaning, you said you'd design a site, accepted payment, and gave lots of excuses or didn't meet the current deadline that you agreed on with the client here, then you will be investigated immediately, and even if you are a staff member, a guide, or an advertiser, and we find that your story sounds shady or full of holes, you can bet your ass you will be banned here, and your information will be made public, along with our campaign to make sure that you, as a scammer never come here again, and also make it tough as hell for you to do it on other forums (we'll alert other forum owners by adding you to our blacklist).

Current Rule Clarifications:

- Advertising on the fourms is not allowed unless you have written approval by ME (Jon - in case you are too dumb to know who is posting this). There is however a loophole to the rule. If someone is asking for a good hosting plan and wants information, and you just so happen to own or resell what they may be looking for you ARE allowed to post information, but you must also include plans and links to other companies that may assist the user. You cannot blatantly advertise it by saying "we are having a huge sale!!!" type of shit. Also, if the user buys into whatever you've just advertised and it turns out to be a scam or nothing they expected, you risk being banned here for lack of quality, so it may be in your best interest to not advertise anything unless you are completely confident that your service/product will meet the standards of this forum (You may NOT "suggest" an ebook as a product, so don't even think about it).

- Ad networks, Aff managers, or anyone associated with affiliate programs or networks are NOT exempt from the above rule, and are NOT allowed to advertise their network, offers, campaigns, or payouts in any way, shape or form on the forum, through private messages, or any other way unless they have written approval from Jon. Unless they advertise here, that's one of the few perks they can have, but they are still not allowed to blatantly advertise anywhere on or through the WickedFire network.

- Guides are not mods. Guides are not admins. Guides hold no forum powers except that they are here to assist forum members by providing answers, relevant information, resources, and their own custom content specifically for the WickedFire community. If a Guide PM's you and threatens you, or treats you in any matter that mimics a Moderator or Admin, report it immediately, and include the message/conversation. Our Guides are screened to an extent that they have a good clean record and are active on WickedFire and know a lot in the topic section they are a Guide for. They cannot ban you, but they can act as our extra set of eyes and ears on the forum, and do have the power to report someone they suspect to be breaking the more stricter rules, and also have the power to recommend a user to be banned if an issue occurs. You are to treat them with the same respect of your fellow forum user, and remember, that they aren't doing their job for cash benefits, but to better the community as a whole. They act as advisors and mentors.

We may experience some brief downtime this week while we switch over to our new servers, so if the site is down for you, don't go crazy. Brandon will post notifications on the forum about maintainance and downtimes in US time zones. We'll also be shutting down the forums temporarily for about an hour or so before we switch so we can back everything up for one final time and make the switch. The whole thing should not take more than 3 hours, and will try to be done after 1am EST, during our off hours.

Thanks for your patience and understanding. If you have any suggestions for new rules or need clarifications for rules, use the feedback section. DO NOT message me.
