While the content network hasn't worked for you there is no shortage of content network advertisers, which is what really matters. Online advertising will continue to grow so there is plenty of ad revenue to come.

The thing is...I have had to block an advertiser on a daily basis...who keeps coming back with the same ad, but with different domains. He had his cheap cpm ads up on my site, and it was killing potential revenues. I finally got tired of playing games with him, and his bottemless pit of domains, and I switched from adsense to affiliate banners.
Now I am less than an atom in the bucket of google, but I cannot imagine my experience is unique. If blocking sites gets too annoying, publishers who notice the problem will just drop adsense. I cannot imagine that any publisher who DOES NOT notice is really doing much business at all. Most of us would look at a particular page and see a drop in revenue from $20 to .20.
Some of you guys are not looking at this from the publishers point of view at all. You are too savvy at getting cheap clicks. As publishers see revenues drop, they will play the blocking game for awhile, and then give up and use something else to monetize.
