it happens
As one of the Canadians let go as a result of the Yahoo/Blue Lithium Merger, it sucks because Im out of a job, but realistically it seems to be a somewhat wise business decison on their part.
Not that we were unproductive, exactly opposite - we made them lots o' cash. But they seem to want all people involved down in their head office location.
And we were a remote office and with the merger I can understand them wanting to have their peeps under the same roof.
They hired a new manager who seems pretty smart and is on top of things so the people there should all do good.
I've been in the industry a long time (almost 10 years) so this isnt also the 1st time its happened - I do hope its the last.
But I have to admit they did it with respect and dignity, we got a personal call, a decent severence, time to find a new job... they did it the way I would have done it in their position.
Therefore I have no hard feelings towards them at all, in fact I wish them all the best and plan to stay in touch with some of the people still there.
Now, back to job hunting... anyone looking for an experienced sr biz dev and/or affiliate manager? I can do both.
One catch, I do live and plan to stay in Canada.
