I'm not sure a credit card company is the best bet in the middle of a credit crunch and going into a recession.

That said, I don't keep track of VISA. I just know that some of the big supermarket-style banks are seriously considering dumping or cutting back their credit card divisions, since it's a tough business and we're kind of at a bad point in the cycle.

Credit card delinquencies are showing signs of increasing, which I'm guessing would not be good for Visa. But in a near-duopoly, I guess they'll do well in any market.
