My progress so far with this domain.
1. I've used the Google Keywords Tool, Keyword Tracker (free version) freekeywords.wordtracker.com to identify the keywords I want to use. I'm settling for the best 4-6 keywords I can come up with. I plan to concentrate on no more than 4 keywords for each page.
2. I've looked at the competition using google search tricks like:
allintitle: www dot domainname dot com
allinanchor: www dot domainname dot com
link: www dot domainname dot com
site: www dot domainname dot com
linkdomain: www dot domainname dot com (good one. Tells you the domains that link to the targeted domain).
3. Determined how I'll lay out my content structure. For mine, I'm planning on content pages for each year of the Honda accord. Wordtracker indicated that lots of searches are going on for the individual years. ie. 1999 Accord or 1999 Honda Accord. I want focused pages for each with 3 or 4 pieces of content on each. (The title tags, header info, and year model specific content will be dynamically inserted into each page allowing me to use a template for each). Will probably be the introductory article for each year.
4. Started locating content from around the various resources (article directories, wikipedia, etc) and rewriting things to be original on my site. In addition, I'm 'finding' images that I'll massage with Photoshop. (This is the time consuming part until I get my scraper finished).
5. In parallel, I'm installing wordpress and an 'adsense/YPN friendly' theme and I have to call Samantha at NeverblueAds this evening to finishing setting me up on their network.
