It is understandable to get stressed out when you need to tell the customer they have problems at their end. Some people are just idiots, and will get pissed at you over it.

Anyways, I personally don't get stressed about this type of stuff when I write scripts and design sites for people. Why? It's not my problem. If you told them that the reason for changing hosts was because you needed permissions to use an .htaccess file and have it run an a Linux/Apache server, then it is not your fault that they turned around and got a Windows based account.

I have a pretty detached personality as well, so things like this just don't get to me.

Good luck.
