While I agree with you on the use of phpBay defeating the purpose of this, I never saw anything about it being only for people who couldn't afford shit, just people who couldn't figure shit out or needed a boost in the right direction (me on both accounts).
Regarding phpbay there's an
excellent tutorial already out there and
this site ain't bad either. I can't imagine there would be all that much more that a thread could offer here, especially since all phpbay users get access to the phpbay forums. But whatever floats your boat. With the wealth of knowledge in these forums and people willing to help, it would seem a waste to be looking at one phpbay site after another.
Regarding a post earlier about raising the floor instead of the ceiling, it would seem that n00bs doing phpBay sites might go from 80% awesome to 90% awesome w/ a phpBay project in the n00b challenge. Personally, I'd rather raise the floor on my understanding of PPC, targeted traffic, or any of the other myriad number of facets of Affiliate Marketing that escape me. Going from 10% understanding to 50-60% in those areas is going to pay a shit ton more than fully pimping out a phpBay store.
