You dont *need* a website, but it can really help. I
searched a bit for Dreamhost discount codes and it seems they have a good one back up:
DreamHost Promo Codes (not my site - first ad from search query)
That code will get you ONE YEAR of hosting and a FREE domain name with Dreamhost for like $22.00 (scrounge up the cash) - with one domain, you can create hundreds of sites via subdomains allowing you to push out offers.
