Same can be said of Meth. Just because it may become legal doesn't mean the social problems exit stage right.
What about slavery? For 100+ years it was legal and widely accepted. Try telling some 6'7 muscle bound black dude that you'd like him to accompany you home, pick some cotton for a few years, and not be paid. See how that works out.
