Bandwidth, redundant servers and other supporting infastructure costs worldwide. Management, Sales, Marketing and Development staff. Office space + equipment + legal.

Including taxes/insurance, you'll be lucky if staff costs are less that 133k per head * 20 is already $2.6m for a year. They probably have more staff than that combined with all the other expenses it's very easy to burn through the cash.

Bandwidth costs are also pretty huge, ffs look how many sites get crushed being on the Digg front-page.
