I know a lot of people talk about using PPC advertising with their affiliate offers (mainly Adwords), but I was wondering if anybody ever used any non-PPC advertisement methods, such as pay-per-impression, paid blog postings, or anything of that nature.
Yes, IMO they have the greatest risk but possibly a huge rewards.

I advertised with a site that gave me 500CPM for about $450, and I got a great CTR but no sales.

I've never done paid postings because I think you risk (but an unlikely) Google penalty.

Alright, so you're worried that your server will go down and waste your PPC budget, but what happens when your merchant's site goes down? Well, when it happens, AdValiant gives me HUGE bonuses and payout raises (without me even asking for it).
