That could get time consuming, yes. But there are a few WF members who are open to being contacted via IM by anyone, sub-affiliate or note. I would think that could help you make a lot more money from your sign-ups.
On my blog especially, I always encourage people to hit me up if they have questions or need help getting started. For this reason I think, I get much more referral commissions than your average joe. Not because more people want to sign up, but if you help people get started, they're much more likely to make some referral cash for you.
