The tool was originally written for organic rankings ... I just fire off some requests for competition and can easily cherry pick the easiest keywords to rank for.
Seeing that this is a different version of my personal tool that I built just for you guys, I can easily hack out the finished product to better fit your needs.
My question is ... "What forumla do I use to find the best EA?" (that's
Erect's
Algorithm for those curious about the acronym)
Here's my thoughts ...
1. scrape
google's sponsored links for your "competition". Record the total ads (and the ad copy for the hell of it) that shows up for each keyword.
2. run each keyword through the algorithm below, sort all in descending order for output.
Code:
$ea = ( $volume / $CPC ) * ( 1 / $number_of_competition )
$ea = Erect's Algorithm
$volume = google's estimated volume ... minimum of 1
$CPC = the CPC from the adwords tool ... minimum of $0.05
$number_of_competition = the competition from my scrape in #1 above
The higher the number returned from the above function, the better your chances to make a buck or 2 for that keyword.
Does anyone have any feedback to improve this? I'm all ears

I'm sure more will be commenting here in a bit. I just sent kimbo his & it was a bitch, the requested niche is right in the middle of 6 others so I'm interested to hear his thoughts about the results.
