Acutally, if you've run the campaign previous to getting the report, the est. income will be quite stable. Still consider it an estimate though. The system works like this ...

1. You insert your CTR, conversion % and payout on the "MASTER" tab in excel
2. the spreadsheet then assumes that you'll bid what it takes to hit the #1 spot (that's the max CPC from the adwords tool).
3. a formula then calculates how much you would make form the volume provided by the adwords tool like so

PHP Code:
$est_income = ( $volume $ctr  $conversion_percentage $payout ) - ( $volume $ctr $cpc
It basically takes your revenue (from the numbers that you provided) and subtracts your expenses ... for every keyword. Of course these are all estimates & your cpc will vary depending on your QS.

If you've not run the campaign previously the above can still help you out by providing guestimates on the keywords to determine profitability

This is exactly how I use it ... scrape competition >> scrape back links from competition >> ??? >> profit ... it's nice seeing potential volume too.

What a great idea, I never considered using this for domain names. All reports so far have returned 1000+ niche oriented keywords ... just combine the words and check the availability of the possible domains with high volume and register the .com

genius!
