They didn't tell the affiliates to fuck off. They removed the one's which had broke rules in the past and the ones that were not active for x amount of time.

Back on topic though I don't think mass banning will help here. Networks need to help affiliates transition into this change You can't just tell thousands of affiliates to piss off (eventhough some of the bigger offenders should) and expect them accept it and come back.

Only surprised it took this long. Now only the ad networks need to follow this and AM will have bright future.
