I know this has been talked about here and there but I haven't found a thread going that deep.

I've been trying to set up some new ringtone campaigns in Adwords but I keep getting disapproved, after making multiple changes and attempts to get my ads approved I talked to an Adwords support specialist and now know that my ads are getting disapproved because there is no "opt-in" checkbox on my landing page or the ringtone offer's signup page.

Every Adwords advertiser I have seen promoting ringtones does NOT use an opt-in checkbox on their landing page, nor do any of the CPA ringtone offer's pages have them.

How is everyone getting around this?

I have set up ringtone campaigns in the same fashion (carrier landing page w/ NO opt-in box) less then a month ago and have had them approved and running with no problems, which is kind of confusing.

Is every Adwords advertiser running ringtone ads on Google just getting away with it by random chance? or is there a way to get approved without the opt-in box?

Some add in the opt-in box when submitting their campaign for review. But after the approval, they remove the opt-in box from their landing page.

I'm having this issue too, but thought to set up a check for referals for the sake of G "handjob" reviews.

My AM also told me Flycell is working on new landing pages now, which will incorporate the opt-in box on their pages.
They already got those. Or do you mean "improved" ones?

He showed me a screenshot of a prototype page they were working on, and it had a checkbox right below the phone number entry field. Next to the checkbox was a label with something like "Yes, I agree to the TOS and that I will be billed $9.99 monthly" (or something like that, I can't remember exactly)

All their pages they've had before then have been their standard clean green, flower power, etc. with no checkbox.
