So it's over. Luckily, i was able to meet and chat with more than a few WF guys. Good times.

So thoughts & opinions of the event? I had a blast...but mainly from the networking and getting to shoot the shit with so many people that do what I do, and speak the "lingo". (try talking about this stuff with your normal friends)

Lets do it again in Vegas!

"Fuck man, my CTR is so high right now"
"Yeah my EPC is blown,bro"
"Dude pass me that conversion rate data."
"Take a fat hit of this landing page."
"That's serious dude. That's some seriously strong muthafuckin CPC"
"Roll another fat campaign man"

Why is that? I want to know so I don't buy a full one for the next one if I don't need it.

All I know is that someone posted that Amit the camel was giving out all kinds of great info in his panel. Enough said.

In all seriousness there's nothing in the panels that you cant and wont know from this forum, so what's the point? Do you really want to sit around with a bunch of dildos while someone feeds you a bunch of shit?

Anyways, was a blast. Wont miss Vegas for my life.

Guys,
I had really good time drinking with you, can't wait for vegas.
I actually had the full pass, and it was a wasteof money. The sessions was really crappy. Next time I'll get the expo only :)

Definately a great time. Learned my lessons.

1. Don't go to the sessions, just read some bloggers cliff notes version after
2. Hide the "affiliate" on your badge unless you want to get harassed by every network
3. Make sure not to leave all your drink tickets to the last few hours of the show... makes a very interesting drive home :uhoh2:

I was an idiot and bought the complete pass also but partied so hard (I mean networked mr tax man) that I didn't make it to one session (I only planned on hitting a couple anyway). So yeah basically wasted about a grand. No biggy because everyone I talked to told me the sessions are pretty worthless and mostly stuff we already know or stuff geared towards merchant etc. I met so many people and I'm sure I learned much more talking to them (even in the wee hours of the morning) than I would if I attended a bunch of the sessions. Next time I'm just getting the expo only pass as well. Lesson learned.

Some people go and don't get the expo or the full pass and say it's still worthwhile for the networking.

I won my "full" pass, but barely took advantage of it. All the action was on the floor at the booths. I attended only one session, got a bit bored. Vegas will definitely be an expo only pass, unless they bring on some kiss ass speakers who arent rehashing the same shit.

I think gary vaynerchuk is speaking, hes pretty kickass. I'd pay to listen to him.

Good shit. I definitely think a full pass = waste of $. Can't wait for Vegas!
I'd agree that a full pass is a waste of money, at least by the speakers and seminars this year. The only useful one I attending was Wil Reynold's SEO talk, but that's probably going over stuff that many people here are familiar with.

Then again, I didn't pay a dime for my pass since I make a bunch of money with a certain network, so I can't complain :). If I go in the future, I'll make sure to make it to the conference for the meet market, and maybe go to more bars to find more people who know their shit, who are willing to spill details while intoxicated...

I hope future conferences have a more relevant keynote speaker - Cory Booker is a great guy and a great speaker, but completely irrelevant to affiliate marketing. I'd rather have a controversial speaker (last affiliate summit) than an off-topic one. Hell, CJ has Guy Kawasaki as the keynote speaker for their upcoming CJU conference.

When I first started in this business I started by reading a long copy sales letter that told me I could get rich online. Then I started talking in IRC a lot and heard about people making money but thought a lot of them were BS'ing. Then learned to make some money myself after a year. At this point I still didn't realize the potential of this business I knew I could make a little money at it and other people were making money at it. But it wasn't until I went to my first show ASW that I truely began to see how much true possibiliy there realize to not just make a couple bucks but rather to amass a fortune. And the best part about it is you can start with almost nothing. There is no business out there that I know of that you can start with so little and make so much. Also to scale in this business you can make some small scripts to automate things where you might need more employees or a factory to see the same kind of growth in others.

Point being if you're going to stick around in this business and plan on making a carerr out of it. GET TO A SHOW!

Hey I was at the show, wanted to say hi to mr ngo and wes (mr samurai) If you remember me i was there with my uncle. 2 brown guys always together at the westin lol

It was great talking to both of you. Im really glad i met great people, and was able to network. I hope I can make it to Vegas, but I gotta work hard to make that money before anything ;)

I would recomend ASE to anyone in the internet marketing field.
