i've been thinking more and more about google slaps and ad rejections and wanted to know what others are experiencing with google. I went a good 5 months without a slap and have had two in the past 2 weeks. Now, my theory is that slaps are warnings and when one does not heed a warning one is usually punished, right? I figure that at some point google will ban my account if continue to sidle around these slaps(adding more content, swapping domains, etc.) google is trying to tell me something, stop creating thin clients, stop using data collection offers, stop running un-compliant ringtone offers. whatever the message is, i'm wondering just how far people push. is there a magic number for slaps:ban?

secondly, ad rejections - we've all had them. you try and include "Oprah" in your ad and get an email with a list of 200 ad rejections. well, i've had a few of these in the past and i know from close friends that these can lead to account bans too. again, anyone have any numbers on this?

my last question has to do with the MCC system. if one account get's banned, is the entire MCC shutdown?

thanks in advance,

luke

Total BS.

I had 1000s of keywords slapped, I had 1000s of ads rejected, and I never got banned. However, I didn't got slap since April, I just upload scraped content to my domains.

Anyway, you should find new friends, or start testing shit for a change...

This is the great thing about YSM and MSN AdCenter, slap free.

MSN slaps lots of keywords and ads manually.... The worst thing is that you can't do anything about it. In google you can just change domain...

I mean seriously, you are thinking way too much. if you are afraid of being banned. Just follow their rules to the tee. Stop doing porn, drugs, ringtones etc. There are tons of products to promote as an affiliate, google just want us to provide value at the end of the day. Not scamming people.

If you do all that and Google still ban your ass, get a new account no big deal.

lol @ prince.

i must say that yes, i'm often accused of thinking and overthinking alot of things(there a a few on this forum who can attest to that). i've been doing ppc fulltime for about a year now. i do pretty well, but am always looking to cover my bases as anyone who does this for a living should. i try not to take anything regarding my income too lightly and google, being a major factor in that income, is one of my big concerns. i already have a few positions hedged when it comes to google and i don't do anything marginal anymore, but google changes the poles so much, it's all i can do to keep up by posting questions and creating threads like this. tonite i corresponded personally with a member here who was banned and when it happens it's not fun, but yes - there are alternatives.
