I was wondering how the economic conditions are affecting your affiliate marketing efforts? Are you cutting back more? Seeing CTR going down, CVR going down?

yep this industry keeps growing, as internet growth expands and more people spend time on it.

beauty of being a true "marketer" is that you can easily change your product you market to whatever suits the economy. Something does well in any economy.

Very true. Bad economy? Why not try Credit Repair, Pay Day Loans Biz Opps, Surveys or Free Stuff?

Dating and Diet are still pretty strong.

Well said, smaxsor! The best thing about this industry is that there are so many offers and offers to choose from.

Dating is one that will work. So will credit repair as Jsmith mentioned.

I've been running FreeCreditReport360.com and also GoFreeCredit.com but I've found GoFreeCredit.com to have higher conversions on Google. I also get new landing pages much faster from that advertiser.

Very true. Dating and Diet aren't going to go anywhere unless the economy is really in trouble.

Just try to think about what your customer would be feel is a necessity in times where spending drops, and try to fill that void.

if you need a great credit repair offer, PM me -- our offer is converting pretty well in this economy.

Smaxor is right on the money -- smart marketers can shift quickly and find offers that perform well no matter how the economy rolls.

Amen.

Just move to campaigns that reflect the new hunger: " I am scared".

Brick and mortar can't do this, we can.

Not hurting at all here. Same numbers. I'm more into leads though, sales represents only 25% of my business.

how is overall volume for you?

I'm venturing to guess there are less people 'surfing' the net and more glued to news figuring they're going to lose their jobs/homes.

I've seen decreases in eyeballs (volume) - anyone else? (even if metrics/ROI is constant)

Had my best day every yesterday so not really. Guess it really depends what you're promoting.

Dynamic adaption is what makes and breaks anyone in marketing. Especially in AM since you can yield results almost instantly.

Only restaurant owners and others fear recessions.

Ain't that the truth. I've seen a drop in earnings working as a busboy/waiter at a restaurant. It also has to do with the fact that we're in the slow season, but still the older workers are saying that it's never been this slow before.
