Just curious, because even when I didn't know shit about marketing I still got into every network that I applied to.

Yeah, all the time. Especially if there is no contact made other than through email. Reputable networks will verify all the info in your application and contact you at least via IM or phone to confirm the app with you.

Yup, I got denied from Market Leverage a little while ago. Haven't gotten around to calling them back though, usually when you get denied a phone call reverses that.

Yes. Think Indochina. I think smaxor even talked about the amount of shit they take from scammers in Asia in an interview.

Only network I've ever been denied for was Hydra, I had to go to their booth at affiliate summit to get accepted. Once I got in, I didn't have an affiliate manager -__-.

We deny about 60-70% of applications that come through as there's just that many people trying to defraud the system. If you answer the phone and know about affiliate marketing we won't deny yah. But if you're name is Tom Jones with a US address, your IP is from China, India, other various countries or a Proxy we'll auto deny you. Just to many people trying to make a quick buck by defrauding the system out there.

Couple tips for getting approved quicker.

1. Talk a bit about your affiliate marketing knowledge.
2. Put WF as your ref and then share your screen name in the notes so we can look you up.
3. When you submit your application call right afterwards

If you do those 3 things our ability to evaluate you a "real" affiliate go up 100%.

Success,
Smaxor

P.S. Happy Saturday :)

While you're applying for a network, you will be told on the application page what they want to see. Haven't you ever applied for an account?

I'm in about 8 networks now, I just got curious because a friend of mine is getting into affiliate marketing so I started thinking about it and realized even when I was a total noob I still never got denied.

what about the legit affiliate marketer that are in China or India, can they get accepted or its usa only

Yup, I was denied by Market Leverage. I was getting my website redesigned, so understandably certain things were still being completed by my coders. Rather than asking how I could help them generate hundreds of sales daily, the guy couldn't get around the fact that the banners on my website weren't working.

What the fuck? Why are you clicking them in the first place? I was stuck in traffic, and in a really pissy mood. I didn't want to bother explaining why I hadn't placed my AdCents banners yet; although the website did look awfully good (see sig). Let's just say the conversation didn't go too well.
