Facebook Ad creation broken?

I'm trying to create a dating ad on Facebook targeting only single men interested in women. However, when the ad comes of for review (the last stage of the ad creation process), it ALWAYS shows up as single men interested in men OR women! It ALWAYS targets both sexes, thereby causing the ad to be disapproved. Same thing happens when I try targeting single women interested in men, It ALWAYS ends up targeting both sexes!

Anyone else experiencing this problem?
 


It wouldn't suprise me if it was broken. Their tracking has been fucked up for over a week already and I have often seen other parts of the system often screwed up.
 
Did you submit the ad? Yesterday, when I tried it, it showed the correct targeting just prior to submitting the ad. After I submitted the ad, it showed up as targeting both sexes!

Today, it's showing up as targeting both sexes just prior to submitting the ad! This is really confusing! I got all my ads rejected because of this, yet no matter how many times I specify "Men interested in women", it shows up as "Men interested in men or women"!!!

I sent an email to FB about this, but I'm yet to receive a response.
 
If you look at ALL of your existing ads, they've got this as default now..so it's not just your dating ads. I hope they fix it because it's cutting down my audiences by a few million.

You're right! This is really messed up! Facebook still haven't fixed the broken "Time Period" dropdown list, and now this too is broken!
 
Facebook got back to me and confirmed that it's indeed broken, and that they are working to resolve it.
 
stats are also messed. i got yesterdays stats for today and todays stats for yesterday.
 
If they are working to resolve it then maybe they should stop flat out rejecting every ad submitted while this is broken.

What an insane waste of time this has been today. They could post a note up saying its broken. I mean they are facebook write it on my f'ing wall.

I am furious! They better make up for this with 1 full day of 5 cent cpc across the board.
 
Perhaps Facebook is staffed by nitpicking, authoritarian bisexuals? As in: 'you'll darn well like men AND women oh wait your ad is crap'.







Its 6.48am here and I've not been to bed yet.
 
def broken. Any and all ads submitted late tonite didnt even get past the submission page- redirected to the home page and lost everything. Way to go FB...nothing but the best coders, huh..
 
still broken and rejecting my previously approved ads. this is really insane.

what other offers besides dating are actually profitable? anything else i try is negative ROI or barely profitable.
 
facebook has some extremely easily targetable demographics on virtually any keyword, age, location, sex, marital status, etc.

if you're not converting, YOUR ADS SUCK

Tangy- Ill take you up on your vast knowledge-
give me an example for DATING, and ACAI DIET....
Lets see how easy it is....
A) FB ads first have to get approved, and demo's are part of the reason they disapprove ads...........

If every single thing he has tried has been negative ROI he needs to:

a) adjust his ads
b) not quit his day job

I don't know fuck all about anything. But I do know that if every single thing you're trying isn't working... you're pretty much fucked
