What kind of offers do you promote on Facebook?

Hey all, this is my first post after reading a bit here for the past two days. I just started doing affiliate marketing and I signed up for Commission Junction and added $200 worth of ad credits to my Facebook account.

I applied to a few programs (Fastweb.com is the latest one - paying $2.65 per lead) and created a few ads on Facebook. My problem is that I'm getting absolutely terrible CTR...my latest campaign was running at .03% (20,585 impressions with 6 clicks).

From what I read, FB ads should have a CTR of around 1%. I'm thinking that I need better offers to promote on Facebook, but CJ doesn't have any that seem too great or I get denied to all the good ones.

So my question is what do you look for when promoting an offer on Facebook? Magazine signup offers? Dating offers? I'm not asking for specific ones, just a general direction that you've been successful with.

Thanks in advance for your help.

adult friend finder does well, you just gotta keep submitting until they approve.

CTR of 1% is way way unrealistic. 0.1-0.2% is pretty good with the 3 ads per page format imo.

haha your pussy footing it, I'm cracking out .04% CTR on a skin cream ad right now.........Fucking blazin.

As for what to promote, well the majority of people on FB now are of the female race (I.E. They Are From Venus) and are in college.

I'm thinking of promoting College Fuck Fest or Girls Gone Wild, It would be the perfect pickup grounds for it.

But the church going homos who approve the ads wouldn't like it too much.......

Think about what college with a bit of tech savvy skills want and/or need......

College Grants?

There are lots of ideas if you pin down a demographic, think demographics with facebook instead of niche.
