THE TOTAL WAS TAKEN TODAY - asset acquisition date: sept. 15, 2009

...OK so we were closing out the books for the past few days and I thought I'd share this.

This is a COMPLETELY UNSOLICITED mini-review/case study.

Basically the gist of it all was:

1) one night I'd been chatting with a WF'er who met radiowf at Affiliate Summit and commented on how he liked the software

2) I then read a post while shooting the shit one day - written by SEO Mike on Auction to Post (too tired to link to it, just look around...)

3) I had done some work with radiowf earlier in the year and really thought he was a good programmer and very good with his customer service

4) There were some domains whose traffic wasn't getting monetized ideally and this program looked like a fun way to make money online for pleasure. Instead of having someone set it up I actually hunkered down one weekend and just tried it myself - mostly for fun!!

5) I had a n00b problem and radiowf personally fixed it for me. I mean PERSONALLY. If you have ever chatted with him you know he's a busy guy!!

6) I told him he should think about going on a pal's investment radio show of a friends 'cause other people in the biz would love hearing about this (hope it's forthcoming soon!)

7) I hinted to radiowf that I would love to get a discount on those spiffy new themes and the guy actually gave them away. I would have gladly paid but I thought that was a stand up thing to do

8) One can never have too many talented, ambitious friends in this line of work - so since seeing helps believing, I thought hell, why not show some real world examples of a less than 3 week 100+% ROI on my investment!!

The first graphic is when I paid him. The second graphic (hell further up is the date but it didn't get cropped right, needless to say it was the 16th).

Anyway. This ROI doesn't really include the hours I spent toying with it but because that was fun I didn't count it. Also this domain was not new it was aged and I can't say this is typical results for a new domain probably.

That said, if you have some dormant domains laying around, this should just show you some potential of what one can do quickly or easily!!

The best part about this program as SEOMike hinted is that it is fun. If you have some hobbies, you can monetize them. I mean it doesn't feel like work when you are chilling out and it relaxes the mine and brain.

If you like collecting vintage soccer cards, vintage designer clothes, commercial fridge's - whatever - you can have a site up in no time...

Anyway, that's it - would be curious to hear about other's experiences too!

short version: get a2p, get paid.

a2p is a great tool for monetizing domains you have sitting around collecting dust. also, lots of keyword rich country specific domains out there - a2p can target the different international ebay sites and pull in relevant content for you automatically.

if all you are looking for is something to pull in auctions and put up content, you can have a site up in minutes with the a2p & theme pack combo. at the same time it is versatile enough to integrate easily into your current site.

i sell a theme pack - i think he wants some post templates - anyone who knows some html and takes a look at the user manual should be able to help him out.

there are a couple extra template samples in the a2p forum but post templates can be user specific so a copy / paste solution isn't for everyone - that's why a2p is so great, extremely customizable.

...not that I am counting...lol...actually I have been paying more attention to average visitor length and the surprising number of return visits and more and more domain keyword searches coming in as an indication of value...this can be a great white hat tool with a few videos, or in combination with Nick's review plugin (which I haven't added but should......too lazy) btw similar to mike this was more of a way to monetize a hobby and break the monotony....

If I had it to do all over again - I would use this method I "discovered"
1. Use auction to post to build a list of niche buyers
2. Contact a direct seller
3. sell to your list

You get repeat sales, you don't have to worry about you know who, you can partner with other site owners.

Think of it this way guys, instead of chasing traffic you can chase conversions! You can improve your conversions by 800% and it really isn't that hard.

And the best thing is if you set up a list in the right niche you an do all sorts of behavioral marketing!!!!

The products on one of my site is a high end "robb report" like product. The people who buy are ceos, derivatives traders, neurosurgeons other business owners!

I have a list now of people who are actually "linkedin.com" worthy and that is all because ebay fucked me over, I got tired of the rankings dance game and I decided to start a relationship with the people I was selling to. Now it doesn't matter what google does or what ebay does I have a relationship with them and I can sell to them what I want.

I even wrote an email newsletter about it. I said "I don't have anything to sell you because ebay is screwing me over...so when I find you guys another legit seller, I'll email you".

I get ctr above 50% sometimes! Imagine having a traffic source that is free, you only pay for it once, ctr is above 20, 30, 40% and no matter what happens google or the merchant you are ok. IT' S CALLED RELATIONSHIP MARKETING AND IT ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

ePN is a complete disaster. I've applied twice and got turned down twice. But there is NO WAY to log back in with the email you applied with.

Hi Duval.

I purchased A2P (including the theme pack) less than 48 hours ago. It took me a couple of days before I could get access to the site as it appears Radio has problems with his server. I sent him a couple of messages but haven't heard back. I need access to the forum as I have some questions.

The main reason why I purchased the A2P was to use it in conjunction with Classipress which I purchased just prior to buying A2P. The little time I was able to get on the forum, I discovered that the plugin won't work with the latest version of Classipress and you would need to obtain Version 2.9.2 or 2.9.3 for which there are some mod files available in the theme pack......I'm not happy about this at all. He should have declared this on his sales page!

In addition to needing an older version of Classipress the other "compatible" WP themes provided in the themepack are older 2009 versions. I don't know about other people but I certainly like to update my WP themes as they become available, especially where SEO improvements have been made. Maybe other A2P users might be able to advise if they have been able to update any of themes contained in the pack.

At the very least, I would have thought that Radio would have kept updating the Classipress mod files as it is this theme in conjunction with A2P that is the most highly regarded and talked about combination in the eBay (EPN) community.

If I was to cut him some slack.....well, ok... he is a student and the A2P is just a little earner for him.....and he did in fact attempt to sell the A2P business last year which unfortunately didn't sell...... I await his response.

Moving on.......I'm interested to see if many people have been successful in getting A2P to work on sub-domains via a Wordpress Network (super admin,etc). Does one need to obtain a license for each sub-domain or will all sub-domains work with just the one A2P install (and one license) on the main domain?

But there is NO WAY to log back in with the email you applied with. It says i can ask for a re-review but HOW?! You can't log in or am i missing something here? PLEASE Help before i go mad.
