This plugin is awesome. I've been running a few sites since radio released the beta copies many months ago. Its been getting a decent amount of traffic and I've gotten thousands of pages indexed. This is a great plugin.

Alright guys, here's my review. It's been a long time coming...

I got Auction2Post in the middle of June, and like a lot of things didn't do anything with it until recently. About a week and a half ago, I decided to start playing around with it. Put up a quick blog about avon collectibles just to see how the plugin worked. After figuring out where everything was and how it worked, I started to see a lot of potential for it.

Now, I have five blogs running A2P and revenue of $20.54 on EPN and $1.10 in Adsense. Whoa! Not going to break the bank yet, but still it continues to prove the potential value of this script.

Also, all the blogs I set up are in really competitive niches so it's been very slow to build up traffic. Two have traffic over 5 visitors per day and the other 3 are hovering around 0 - 3 visitors per day.

With a little SEO, I really think that these could take off.

Why is all that important? Well, for one thing I didn't have to buy a new copy for each blog. The purchase price includes unlimited blogs. So, let's say you decide to put up 100 blogs all running A2P, then your Per Blog cost is $0.79! ($99 - $20 coupon on the front page of Auction2Post = $79 divided by 100 blogs = $0.79)

Long story short: A2P is a lot of fun to use, simple to install, and does exactly what it's supposed to without any problems. I highly recommend it.

BTW, I just got the theme pack and can't wait to try them out. I have no doubts they'll perform just as flawlessly as the main script.

Seriously, even if you don't plan on building a shit load of eBay sites, this script is a hoot to play around with, and as I said previously: pretty cheap when you start considering what you can do with it and how many sites you can use it on.

If you want to see one of my A2P sites, check out Unlocked Palm Pre I'll probably have to get rid of that site, since EPN's TOS doesn't allow trademarked names in the URL's, but for now it's up and running.

Dude this is badass! Nice work... couple quickies, when you say market this as a content generator, are you saying it would be very easy to scrape the auctions and switch up the post template with alternating affiliate products and auctions?

Also, I noticed you can select buy it now auctions and so forth... what occurs if an auction is taken down and your site links to it? Is there any capability to auto check that once a week and if=no, then redirect to x?

first, i cringe everytime i hear someone say 'scrape' when referencing my plugin. auction2post uses the eBay API which is specifically designed to assist in these types of requests.

essentially your blog is saying to eBay: "salutations good sir! pardon the intrusion but might i inquire about a search query of which you would be so kind as to return a result set specific to the aforementioned request?"

and eBay replies: "my good man for that is what i am here for, to assist you in your referential needs, ergo, it is no intrusion at all!"

for the record, i have nothing against scrapers and how you use them is your business - but you do leave the scraped site saying: "i say, old bean, i must express my astonishment! were you really visiting my site or was it merely a clever ruse?!" (okay, this was simply for the lulz)

at affsum east i talked directly with ePN about the plugin and they said that it is an acceptable use of the eBay Developers program and there is no issue using it w/ ePN (assuming you follow the ePN TOS with it).

now, as far as content generation - yes you can edit the post templates in auction2post very easily and include direct links or other plugin tags that can execute queries using the API of other networks (Amazon API as w/ Machine Tags above). However, the TOS of eBay developer says that you need to clearly distinguish the eBay listings from any others. Hello, <hr>.

the plugin automatically removes expired auction posts. however, if a buy it now happens, then your post is live and linking to the auction (which hasn't expired) but you site visitor will not be able to buy the item. the cookie has been set though - so if they buy anything else, you will earn a commission and eBay by default shows related items on expired auctions. in a future version i'll add the ability to check to see if an auction has ended via buy it now and prune it if that option is selected.

for the record - the PM wasn't to buy my plugin but rather to post boobs when using the boobs icon. that's me giving back, yo.

How naive of me. lol I submitted my company's simple biz card site just like I do for the cpa's. Deeeeenied!

I've never been interested in screwing with bans/epn stores until I saw your plugin.... for the simple fact of the content capabilities and ease of use/templating.

So, I'm assuming, buy the plugin first, setup an ebay "geared" site with some relevancy, and THEN submit an app?

You should put that in your copy for the epn noobs like me... yeah, yeah, yeah, you're gonna pop my ebay cherry. Looks like it will pay tho.

actually - i don't think using one of my plugin created sites is your best bet. eBay Partner Network is kind of missing the point right now in my opinion - they don't see the value in someone breaking down a niche into sub-categories, constructing all of the search parameters necessary to pull out items specific to those sub-categories, displaying items in a more user friendly, niche specific way, and ultimately assisting buyers in finding items that they are interested in buying. when done correctly, i believe a2p sites help streamline the process for interested buyers and help steer them to eBay. now, if your search term is 'wii' and you have it set to auto post 100 auctions every hour, well, then i don't see much value in your site either. but whatever pays the bills! the way the program is set up favors quantity over quality and their quality score system is as vague as their TOS. but i digress.

read up on some tips on how to get accepted into ePN here: Tips on getting accepted with eBay Partner Network (ePN) - keep submitting and you're bound to get in. i recommend NOT having domain privacy on the domain you submit. think transparency, transparency, transparency - on your submit site.

A2P is straightup awesome, I can't get accepted to the EPN to save my life (they obviously know dirtbags when they see them!) but it's straight up gold for pushing traffic at my own shit on ebay. 51 minutes from the time I downloaded the plugin to having a site set up the way I want. That included buying a domain, installing WP, installing the plugin, figuring out the search settings, deleting the first couple efforts to get my categories the way I wanted for SEO and busting out the All In One SEO plugin on the home page. Never touched it again, now it ranks 1,1,2,2,4 for my main keywords in Y! and 4,8,16,29 in G. And if you can't tell from my posts here, I'm not very bright.

Related note, if anyone knows any "reputable" EPN account vendors, send 'em my way.

Also, Radio is the man, he responded to all my stupid questions in the beta test quickly and his forum for this plugin rawks!

Let me say something about this little jem..if you already are signed up with EPN and are NOT USING A2P you are literally losing out on at least hundred bucks a day without question.

I've come up with a couple new creative ways to use A2P (because I'm still trying to find a way to get Adwords to not slap those sites), and without paying for any advertising, I'm making between $50-$100 a day from 2 A2P sites. Get this thing, and it will pay for itself damn near instantly. Carry on.

This plugin far exceeds any other ebay plugin... The only downside is editing the php parsing so that you can translate the ebay feed the way you want it into different templates. Otherwise, you are stuck with the included themes.

Even to get your content to appear correctly in his sample site... with the classic beetles.... you will have to do some customization.

Otherwise... This is the best plugin and I highly recommend it.

Also - auction2post works with ANY theme - but if the theme has custom fields, then you will have to create a template for that (assigning the custom fields) - but if that theme does something stupid (like creating a subfolder for all images - god i hate that! - then you will have to edit the theme since a2p mimics the upload behavior of Wordpress - but save the time and just get the a2p Theme Pack).

If you are using a typical blog layout - there are NO customizations necessary for it to work and you can use the a2p Post Templates to completely customize your post - there is no need for php parsing in templates - they are html templates - but there are several copy and paste templates available on the a2p forum to switch things up.

Finally, just putting the finishing touches on some more themes bringing up the number in the theme pack to over 20. These are freely available themes that are being customized to work w/ a2p right out of the box. Well worth the price - use the coupon above to get it for free!

Yes. The plugin is encoded and requires a license.txt file that you create in the Member Panel under License Manager. Haven't had many issues with it yet - 95% have been upload, activate, good to go. The other 5% have been able to get their host to get things right.

Again... you don't need to get into ePN specifically to make money w/ auction2post (though it's a great way to do so! lol!) I need to start pitching this as a content generator ala Caffeinated Content - the difference being this plugin pulls in language that is in the sales voice for your audience that is in the buy mode.

Here's a more detailed response to using auction2post along w/ another affiliate network (specifically Amazon) to earn commissions.

Now create an automated search and use the a garmin305 template that you created which has the machine tags above in the template.

Now to be compliant with eBay Developer TOS you need to separate your ebay listing from other items... easy enough.

And to really spell it out... Amazon plugins out there that create posts are creating ONE post/page per product - whereas auction2post is creating a new post with new sales copy for each item posted on eBay.

Check out the simple alt tag above in the template, along w/ an image slug that you can create for every eBay image - you are able to better SEO the auction listing on your website than it appears on eBay.

If you see what I did there it's clear that while the Amazon Machine Tags plugin makes it nice - a2p is certainly not limiting you to only that plugin or Amazon - create images / links for other network products via CJ for example and stick them in your templates. Multiple templates supported and multiple automated searches supported. Check it out!

Like I was telling a buddy of mine the other day, I create A2P / eBay sites because they're fun. They're not making me a ton of money, but it's like a hobby for me. Something to do when work (affiliate marketing stuff) is done for the day. I actually get more excited over a $20 day with these sites than I do a $10,000 on PPC. It's just a ton of fun for me.

NOW, Radio has to go and tell us all about adding Amazon stuff. Jeezus man. I'm going to end up "wasting" more time playing around with my hobby sites now. Fuck. Off to play

For the n00bs that want a low cost entry point to making money online, I may (that's a big maybe) put together a PDF (I can't make one long post in one sitting, so a PDF is easier) on generating income with A2P sites. It's not tough, doesn't cost a lot and most importantly it's a lot of fun! Besides, if you think scale, there is good money to be made. You can scale this tremendously if you want, or you can plod along (like me) one site at a time.

I have to give an enthusiastic bump here. I needed some quick help with a2p and Rob PERSONALLY helped me out yesterday - it was so fast and attentive.

Furthermore, I checked awstats and my longtail traffic IN ONE DAY more than doubled - I picked the plugin up to breadth life into a site I haven't touched for ages. Also as SEOMike said, these sites are a fun way to monetize hobbies.

I"m also planning to show my lil brother how to use it.....there's an idea, pick the plugin up and show kids how to make some allowance money setting up a2p sites around their hobbies!

actually, it works with almost ANY theme - it's the magazine style layouts that require custom fields be assigned... just like you would have to do with a regular post. the a2p Theme Pack includes themes that have been modded to look for the a2p custom fields instead of the author defined ones.

there are a couple dozen themes now in the pack - so there are quite a few options. what i think people would like now are some post templates that make things look nifty with buy now buttons and the like. the templates are easy... but you can do a lot more if you know some html than not.

I got Auction2Post in the middle of June, and like a lot of things didn't do anything with it until recently. About a week and a half ago, I decided to start playing around with it. Put up a quick blog about avon collectibles just to see how the plugin worked. After figuring out where everything was and how it worked, I started to see a lot of potential for it. Now, I have five blogs running A2P and revenue of $20.54 on EPN and $1.10 in Adsense. Whoa! Not going to break the bank yet, but still it continues to prove the potential value of this script. Also, all the blogs I set up are in really competitive niches so it's been very slow to build up traffic. Two have traffic over 5 visitors per day and the other 3 are hovering around 0 - 3 visitors per day. With a little SEO, I really think that these could take off. Why is all that important? Well, for one thing I didn't have to buy a new copy for each blog. The purchase price includes unlimited blogs. So, let's say you decide to put up 100 blogs all running A2P, then your Per Blog cost is $0.79! ($99 - $20 coupon on the front page of Auction2Post = $79 divided by 100 blogs = $0.79) Long story short: A2P is a lot of fun to use, simple to install, and does exactly what it's supposed to without any problems. I highly recommend it. BTW, I just got the theme pack and can't wait to try them out. I have no doubts they'll perform just as flawlessly as the main script. Seriously, even if you don't plan on building a shit load of eBay sites, this script is a hoot to play around with, and as I said previously: pretty cheap when you start considering what you can do with it and how many sites you can use it on. If you want to see one of my A2P sites, check out Unlocked Palm Pre I'll probably have to get rid of that site, since EPN's TOS doesn't allow trademarked names in the URL's, but for now it's up and running. Join Date: Nov 2007 Posts: 1,538 iTrader: 25 / 100%	first, i cringe everytime i hear someone say 'scrape' when referencing my plugin. auction2post uses the eBay API which is specifically designed to assist in these types of requests. essentially your blog is saying to eBay: "salutations good sir! pardon the intrusion but might i inquire about a search query of which you would be so kind as to return a result set specific to the aforementioned request?" and eBay replies: "my good man for that is what i am here for, to assist you in your referential needs, ergo, it is no intrusion at all!" for the record, i have nothing against scrapers and how you use them is your business - but you do leave the scraped site saying: "i say, old bean, i must express my astonishment! were you really visiting my site or was it merely a clever ruse?!" (okay, this was simply for the lulz) at affsum east i talked directly with ePN about the plugin and they said that it is an acceptable use of the eBay Developers program and there is no issue using it w/ ePN (assuming you follow the ePN TOS with it). now, as far as content generation - yes you can edit the post templates in auction2post very easily and include direct links or other plugin tags that can execute queries using the API of other networks (Amazon API as w/ Machine Tags above). However, the TOS of eBay developer says that you need to clearly distinguish the eBay listings from any others. Hello, <hr>. the plugin automatically removes expired auction posts. however, if a buy it now happens, then your post is live and linking to the auction (which hasn't expired) but you site visitor will not be able to buy the item. the cookie has been set though - so if they buy anything else, you will earn a commission and eBay by default shows related items on expired auctions. in a future version i'll add the ability to check to see if an auction has ended via buy it now and prune it if that option is selected. for the record - the PM wasn't to buy my plugin but rather to post boobs when using the boobs icon. that's me giving back, yo. I've never been interested in screwing with bans/epn stores until I saw your plugin.... for the simple fact of the content capabilities and ease of use/templating. So, I'm assuming, buy the plugin first, setup an ebay "geared" site with some relevancy, and THEN submit an app? Join Date: Nov 2007 Posts: 1,538 iTrader: 25 / 100%	actually - i don't think using one of my plugin created sites is your best bet. eBay Partner Network is kind of missing the point right now in my opinion - they don't see the value in someone breaking down a niche into sub-categories, constructing all of the search parameters necessary to pull out items specific to those sub-categories, displaying items in a more user friendly, niche specific way, and ultimately assisting buyers in finding items that they are interested in buying. when done correctly, i believe a2p sites help streamline the process for interested buyers and help steer them to eBay. now, if your search term is 'wii' and you have it set to auto post 100 auctions every hour, well, then i don't see much value in your site either. but whatever pays the bills! the way the program is set up favors quantity over quality and their quality score system is as vague as their TOS. but i digress. read up on some tips on how to get accepted into ePN here: Tips on getting accepted with eBay Partner Network (ePN) - keep submitting and you're bound to get in. i recommend NOT having domain privacy on the domain you submit. think transparency, transparency, transparency - on your submit site. That included buying a domain, installing WP, installing the plugin, figuring out the search settings, deleting the first couple efforts to get my categories the way I wanted for SEO and busting out the All In One SEO plugin on the home page. Never touched it again, now it ranks 1,1,2,2,4 for my main keywords in Y! and 4,8,16,29 in G. And if you can't tell from my posts here, I'm not very bright. Related note, if anyone knows any "reputable" EPN account vendors, send 'em my way. BTW, update to my previous review: one of my sites (after about 3 weeks) has made a little over $100 ($80 this month so far and about $20 last month). Very little SEO. Okay, some, but not much. Like I was telling a buddy of mine the other day, I create A2P / eBay sites because they're fun. They're not making me a ton of money, but it's like a hobby for me. Something to do when work (affiliate marketing stuff) is done for the day. I actually get more excited over a $20 day with these sites than I do a $10,000 on PPC. It's just a ton of fun for me. NOW, Radio has to go and tell us all about adding Amazon stuff. Jeezus man. I'm going to end up "wasting" more time playing around with my hobby sites now. Fuck. Off to play For the n00bs that want a low cost entry point to making money online, I may (that's a big maybe) put together a PDF (I can't make one long post in one sitting, so a PDF is easier) on generating income with A2P sites. It's not tough, doesn't cost a lot and most importantly it's a lot of fun! Besides, if you think scale, there is good money to be made. RSS style eBay plugins if you are debating between this plugin or one of the paid rss display plugins (which load slower, have a larger footprint, and have been reportedly getting slapped by the serps) - save yourself some money and run w/ the Wordbay plugin. WordBay Installing and configuring WordBay So just like you used Amazon Machine Tags above, you could use Wordbay tags in your template to generate additional listings available on eBay. I needed some quick help with a2p and Rob PERSONALLY helped me out yesterday - it was so fast and attentive. Furthermore, I checked awstats and my longtail traffic IN ONE DAY more than doubled - I picked the plugin up to breadth life into a site I haven't touched for ages. Also as SEOMike said, these sites are a fun way to monetize hobbies. I"m also planning to show my lil brother how to use it.....there's an idea, pick the plugin up and show kids how to make some allowance money setting up a2p sites around their hobbies! Join Date: Nov 2007 Posts: 1,538 iTrader: 25 / 100%	actually, it works with almost ANY theme - it's the magazine style layouts that require custom fields be assigned... just like you would have to do with a regular post. the a2p Theme Pack includes themes that have been modded to look for the a2p custom fields instead of the author defined ones. there are a couple dozen themes now in the pack - so there are quite a few options. what i think people would like now are some post templates that make things look nifty with buy now buttons and the like. the templates are easy... but you can do a lot more if you know some html than not.
