Wfexclusive Yahoo Lays Off All Blue Lithium Employees

CONFIRMED! We are the FIRST, as usual to report it too.

Yahoo just fired all of the Blue Lithium employees today!!

They are all gone.. the employees that is.

Some of the reasons being stated for it, unofficially of course, is that they were never really interested in the CPA side of Blue Lithium, but more about the behavioral data, to keep up with AOL's acquisition of Tacoda and Google's multiple acquisitions of Double Click and everything else.

Smart or foolish move by Yahoo? Time will tell I suppose. Post your comments, feedback, etc.

This is news to me, but will not be the first time I was not the first to know I find it hard to believe that it would be all employees, the Canadian thing makes some sense, but I would like to see the official, official on that, im sure at least one smart Canadian kept their job. Either way, motive welcomes any resume from the Blue Lithium crew, they are good peeps – Hell we will even take the Canadians!!

They had a team in San Jose, CA as well. Come to think of it, haven't seen my reps from there online lately either, but I haven't tried calling though. My reps were in Canada, maybe it's true.

BangSmash has a spectacular aura about
it happens

As one of the Canadians let go as a result of the Yahoo/Blue Lithium Merger, it sucks because Im out of a job, but realistically it seems to be a somewhat wise business decison on their part.
Not that we were unproductive, exactly opposite - we made them lots o' cash. But they seem to want all people involved down in their head office location.
And we were a remote office and with the merger I can understand them wanting to have their peeps under the same roof.
They hired a new manager who seems pretty smart and is on top of things so the people there should all do good.
I've been in the industry a long time (almost 10 years) so this isnt also the 1st time its happened - I do hope its the last.
But I have to admit they did it with respect and dignity, we got a personal call, a decent severence, time to find a new job... they did it the way I would have done it in their position.
Therefore I have no hard feelings towards them at all, in fact I wish them all the best and plan to stay in touch with some of the people still there.

Now, back to job hunting... anyone looking for an experienced sr biz dev and/or affiliate manager? I can do both.
One catch, I do live and plan to stay in Canada.
