Google Business Referral Representative FAQ

As a Google Business Referral Representative, you'll visit local businesses to collect information (such as hours of operation, types of payment accepted, etc.) for Google Maps, and tell them about Google Maps and Google AdWords. You'll also take a few digital photos of the business that will appear on the Google Maps listing along with the business information. After the visit, you submit the business' info and photo(s) to Google through your Local Business Referrals Center, and we'll pay you up to $10 for each listing that is approved by Google and verified by the business.

It looks like there is a few catches here. They only pay you the full $10 when the business verifys the info you collected
You are suppose to tell the business info about google maps so you cannot just snap a few photos and write down the hrs of opperation to get your $2. I wonder if you need to also track down the owner? A good idea who be to probably get some local jr high, or high school kids to pack in a van, and do runs to shopping centers. Labor would be cheap, and is better experience for them instead of selling candy bars.

I find this interesting, as this seems to be information that google views as valuable.
If you are in a small town, it might well pay to throw up your own directory using exactly this detail of information.

get the info start up your own directory toss em in it for 60/month and submit the info to Google. The G is and will always be doling out ways to cash in whether they mean it or not is irrelevant.

Think about it...
Sell 3 a week and your grossing $112,320.00/yr. Throw in the crisp tenners from Google and you made an extra $1560....that might cover the gas for your h1 for 1 month.
