getting your affiliate site acquired. If i am not right, jon got his mortgage site acquired waaaay before all this mortgage crisis nonsense started.

a friend of mine did the same thing with his credit card. over 6 or 7 years he got it ranking high for just about every credit keyword there is, built it to $10k a month, then quit his job, built it to $30k + a month and then it was acquired for millions.

I sold one financial related website for $XX,XXX in march this year to a big corporation. Right now I don't know if you could have received the same amount for it.. so I guess it was a good move to sell

I am carrying out a case study of how he bought links, and even got links from the wall street journal. Some pretty good Shit if you ask me...

Yeah i know i am bumping this thread, but in these times of "turmoil" it wouldnt hurt to read nothing but positive news about acquisitions of mega affiliates and which is sure to provide some fire for any marketer out there.
