First let me clear up some quick rumors as I am doing this post as an exclusive for wickedfire viewers only.
We issued a small press release on our Media Breakaway.com website with our comments on Monday evening. Here is what we said. Westminster, CO January 22, 2007 – Steven Richter, General Counsel for Media Breakaway, LLC and Scott Richter, denies allegations made in MySpace press release, and hopes their press release was not intended by MySpace to distract recent public and governmental attention regarding their alleged misconduct. "Like everyone else in the industry we are only aware of what MySpace has alleged in their press release, as we have not been served", said Steven Richter, General Counsel to Media Breakaway, LLC and Scott Richter, its CEO. "Obviously we deny the allegations made in the press release". "Several months ago I spoke with counsel for MySpace about some complaints they received, and we cooperated with them fully and were assured that if there were any outstanding issues, they would get back to us." "I guess this is their way of getting back to us", Richter said. Richter stated "I just hope that the purpose of their press release was not to distract the public and governmental attention that has been focused on MySpace recently regarding their alleged misconduct". Now the facts from my viewpoint. As of the current time we have not been served and the complaint is not online via the Federal pacer system. There is no money amount being asked for, the 75 million is some one with a big imagination. CPAempire is in good financial shape and will vigorously fight off any one who makes false and misleading allegations against us just as we did in the past in other suits. We are not going any where and there should be no concern of people being paid. Others who were sued are affiliates we had terminated for complaints we received several months back. We do take action on complaints and take any one doing anything that is against our T and C's, very seriously. Once again I thank all of you who have shown support for us this week by moving more traffic to our network and we will have a nice press release out Friday that should be very enlighting to MySpace. All my Best |

We all know you are a myspace spammer.... No need to keep re-emphasizing that point... I know it is scary you might actually have to figure out how to market products without spamming Myspace, but I am sure you will figure out. You are a big boy.

Pretty certain they are not faked, they just may be out in front of the story. These networks potentially have a lot to lose and should be playing close to the vest. There may be a fair amount of embellishment and hysteria as well.
Heck the news feed at Bally's in Vegas had the headline, MySpace Sues Spammers scrolling across it on Tuesday. |

Just because he is just another person that doesn't like you doesn't mean he is a spammer. And you going around talking shit about people that you have no clue about doesn't make you sound any smarter than you were when you spewed all your crap on DP/ Still the same prick.

Media Breakaway, LLC Announces Retaining Pete Wellborn to represent the Company
Westminster, CO January 25, 2007 – Media Breakaway, LLC, an industry leader in online direct marketing, today announced it has retained Pete Wellborn of Wellborn & Wallace, LLC to represent the company in a current lawsuit with MySpace.
“We are very pleased that Pete Wellborn has agreed to represent Scott Richter and Media Breakaway in the lawsuit filed by MySpace,” said Steve Richter, President and General Counsel of Media Breakaway. “Pete’s substantial background in Internet law and extensive knowledge of the industry, including successful representation of several Internet Service Providers in cases against spammers, makes him the ideal person to represent the company in this matter.” “Media Breakaway has undertaken Herculean efforts to ensure that they maintain compliance with the developing law and stand out in the Internet industry as leaders in legal and ethical online marketing. I am proud to have the opportunity to represent them in the MySpace lawsuit, to disprove all allegations set forth therein and to otherwise ensure that justice is served,” said Pete Wellborn, founder of Wellborn & Wallace, LLC. “At this time, the only information we have regarding this lawsuit comes from MySpace’s press release earlier this week. We obviously deny the allegations made in the press release,” Richter stated. Pete Wellborn is the founding member of the Wellborn & Wallace law firm, based in Atlanta, Georgia and is perhaps the most well-known Internet lawyer in the United States.
