Douchebag Layoffs For TheUseful

Some of you guys might have heard already that you might be getting a new rep at TheUseful in what I believe is their third re-organization in the past year. Layoffs occurred today as at least 25 people were let go. Seems like a lot of changes are happening and some good people are being let go. I wonder when the powers that be can stop blaming the people beneath them for their shortcomings?

I am certainly not surprised. The company has a long history of "things that make you go hmmm" The executives I have dealt with are morons - the worst being that Mike Mathews character - what an arrogant big-mouthed jerk. What a joke - i heard about the layoffs today as well. Every person that I knew there has voluntarily left or was just given a swift kick in the ass out the door. So many bad business decisions being made - I wonder how long it will take for Niuniu to wake up, grow up and start to hire and fire the right people. The inmates are now running the asylum!!!

Looks like they beat the Azoogle record of 16 in one day. 25 in one day.. that's fucking massive. Tell them to come here and post about it. We love that sorta drama!

Is it safe to now say The Useful will now be known as The Useless?

I'm sure there are plenty of other companies out there looking to pick up a few new employees.

Yeah, let's hope but that's still dropping a lot of people out there. People might have to move to accept other jobs, be unemployed for a while and what not. I just think a lot of lives will be affected and that the situation (as well the company) could've been handled a little better.

I know everyone loves a scandal, but could this be an example of things getting blown out of proportion? I called a friend over there who I trust, who I've had beers with, etc., and he said "yeah, I heard about the postings, but the truth is about 8 were laid off". Then there were a few that resigned saying they were moving to another state.

Oh yeah, edls4475 was fired from TheUseful, so he'll probably have a hard-on no matter what. His situation doesn't really make for "fair and accurate" reporting. Maybe he should concentrate on trying to make his current position with GRS / Filinet successful instead of holding onto the past. I've been called "gay" on this board before, but damn Ed:

For those that aren't familiar with Wilton Manors, it's one of nation's premiere gay friendly destinations:
Wilton Manors, Florida - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

That would explain his love for drama. Not that there's anything WRONG with that of course, if it happens to be your cup o' tea! Sorry John, I know this isn't helping with the forum's "gay friendly" reputation.

Uh, no, you're wrong and so is you "friend." TheUseful is laying off 25 people and that's straight from the mouth of the president. I know of at least 14 that have already been axed and I'm sure there's more, so I believe 25 rather than 8.

Dayjob, defend them all you want it still doesn't change the fact that people are either being fired or are leaving of their own freewill because management at TheUseful has made poor decisions. You must be the only one who ever got paid on time and legit from TheUseful to defend them so!

Well, I guess your "friend" was right and I was wrong. If that's the case, then I'll stand by your word. But when people who work there and also know people who work there tell me upper management gives out these #s, I'm willing to believe them.

As far as it getting personal and you want to call me "gay", I could throw in such memorable gestures as "that's not what your mom said" , "takes one to know one" , etc. etc. But I'll let that go.

Have a nice day

NO... there weren't 25 or even 14 people layed off yesterday -- not even close.

ok wickedcity, and why then would the president of the company say that 25 people we're being laid off in 72 hour period? Are you suggesting it's a unique way of boosting morale, or that perhaps it was a joke? HAHA, that's a damn good joke. Yes, they are doing it for business reasons, but all could certainly be avoided with more intelligent and researched hiring and expansion efforts to begin with.

Since the announcement of 25 people getting laid off and no one is stating the REAL issue of what is happening at TheUseful. Upper management's salaries are so HUGE that if they got rid a a few VP's they could save the jobs of ALOT HARD WORKING EMPLOYEES. So let's think of the wasted salary of Mike Mathews (does anyone in the industry really like him OR just tolerate him because we all know the control is really with Niuniu?) Maybe if the company stopped paying for him to fly back and forth to NY they could save a few qualified harding working people that do all his work - that report to him - cmon admit we all know that these are the people that explain how this business works to you Mike. Now that is just one of many VP's there - think about how much money could really be saved if they thought about it................

Bottom line TheUseful is Useless.....Their attitude of you want to work with us then do it our way is childish - if you really need to work with them the real question is WHY????? So many companies in their space do it BETTER!

On that note, ask anybody if they've ever worked with or heard from Devon Cohen of TheUseful's automotive lead gen channel, or Jack Owen the COO of TheUseful. Over a year Devon has been a VP there and I've never seen an automotive offer from them. And why would they need a COO, who probably brings home a half mill each year, when they've got a President? Most companies either have one or the other, not both... Useless

Devon actually put in his resignation...probably because he realized what a joke the company is? I dunno... just a thought.

Does TheUseless only handle major brands for publishers and other network offers? I ask only because I, personally have never heard of them until they started to sponsor things, and they just seemed like another network in the long line of loads of others.

What makes them unique/different from the rest? Seriously please..

What a weird premise. You introduce him as your friend, yet you just hear he is a whiz kid and have met him just a few times.
