this feature is just awesome.
it would be nice if they didnt show the original sender's email when you send the email from one of the accounts to someone. For example if my email is [email protected] and i login to [email protected] and send an email from there to [email protected] then gmail will show them that the mail was "sent by" [email protected]

This is for sure a great news, but for who? I mean this feature is really handy, yet nobody thinks about the consequences. If google can see 3 of your accounts interlinked, and after that by chance you interlink 2 more to one of these 3 ... well G will know almost everything about you.

I'd be extra cautious when using this feature, and even more if I'm doing something serious with my accounts.

Oh , thats actually great , nice step by gmail , i usually come online open 4 brwsers check 4 of my gmail accounts , very slow indeed and from now onwards no problem for that , i use in same browser, ok thats good

Everyone can breathe a sigh of relief — you can now toggle between multiple Gmail accounts in one browser! Previously, if you used more than one Gmail account (say one for personal and one for work), you'd have to open them up in different web browsers. Now, all you have to do is change some settings in order to reap the benefits of switching back and forth between two or more accounts. Of course, there are some exceptions — only the Gmail, Reader, Calendar, Code, and Sites functions will work with a single sign-in, and any of the other functions (like documents) will default to the account you have set as your primary account.

Hmmm! It does not seem to work at my end. I already have a Gmail account open. The moment I tried to open another instance of Gmail in a different tab using the same browser, it loaded with the previous account instead of opening with the log-in page.

You can set 'ON' to multiple sign in feature on your account settings. Then log out all the accounts to refresh the settings. Then you can now take access to multiple of your accounts.
