All content is templated, so you can save your content, update and reuse it.

You can use madlibs in this format {You|I|We|They} in titles and in the body.

Included content plugins are Associated Content, Flickr, Google Translate, Blogsearch. If you know PHP, you can add your own content plugins. Also, YACG plugins are portable to Link Farm Evolution. There are a lot of user contributed plugins on the YACG forums.

You can also live sample your templates, so you can gen content, then copy it to your template and modify/spin it, than regen it, then copy and modify it etc.

I believe they are $1.50 per 1000. I don't know who they are through but they are manual captcha solves, and there are two services for redundancy. Re-plenishing captchas are in $5 and $10 lots, direct from the control panel, through to Paypal. Takes about a couple minutes on average to show your updated captcha balance in your CP.

I could probably look in the captcha functions file as it is not encoded (if you want to add your own service instead). If you're really curious, let me know and I will pull up the file and PM you back.

I know Wordpress.com is running some variant of MU, but I don't believe LFE automates it. I say that because it was in my target list last week, but for whatever reason, it wouldn't complete registration. Which is fine, because I would rather stay below that radar, but if you have a problem with it and want to use it, you can always ask the LFE guys to sort it out so it does. They are really good about that.

I have LFE on my VPS. You can probably run it on shared hosting. I know of at least one guy was running it on Hostgator because he had an issue with ports being closed by the host. You can run it locally, I don't know if they recommend XAMP or WAMP for Windows (I prefer WAMP personally). You can also run it on Mac with MAMP. The LFE guys will install it for you on a remote server, or walk you through a local install. I'm happy to help my guys with stuff like that too through AIM.

The code is not fully open. It is partially encrypted. Content is extensible through hooks/plugins, and there are some portions that are open.

I get a lot of questions by PM, and some are pretty good.

You can tag blogs either individually or by mass action (up to 1000 at a time). You can also tag hosts through the description field (which allows you to add your own note about each host). These fields are searchable and sortable.

Someone was running it on Hostgator, I assume shared hosting. You don't have to run it full tilt boogie. I run it on my VPS and use a reasonable # of threads (as I have other sites on that server) and run it while I sleep, which is usually a lower traffic time anyway. If you have the resources, you can crank this thing right up to iirc 20 threads. I usually run 3.

I don't see this being a big problem unless you try to overrrun your hosting and be a bad neighbor on a shared host.

I imagine there are, but LFE supports hooks/plugins in the content engine, and there is a big pre-existing library of compatible or near-compatible hooks on the YACG forums. So to answer more accurately, there may be 3rd party content spinners that are compatible, but I am unaware of them.

Right now, there is link randomization. A new feature proposed was something akin to linkwheel functionality, but I'm not sure if that is scheduled for 1.4.11 or 2.0.

I recommend a server install, as I don't like running more on my local PC than I have to. But you can do run it local if you don't already have hosting. Hosted will be faster for sure.

At some point, I might see if I can entice some of the guys who purchased to leave a brief review. It is slick.

The scheduling feature is due to come out in 2.0 which *may* be this week. Right now, you set up jobs, and run it so you can loosely control how many links it posts or accounts it creates by giving it a maximum. So you can run it to drop 20 pligg links, and you will get 20 or less (depends on fail rate/errors).

To be honest, its a much more sophisticated tool than just a link dropper. It's closer to what you guys are doing with your SEO packages, but automated, and not yet as many different hosts to post on.

Looks pretty interesting and I especially like the fact it's self hosted. Therefore it's a pity it's encrypted, but I can understand the need for this.

A couple of questions came to my mind after watching the videos:

Is it possible to give the articles/posts a name (not the titel), e.g. niche_keyword_001. Or how would you else organize hundreds of articles? A folder structure would be good as well.

Can I assign more than one tag to a single domain? E.g. tag 1 = main niche, tag 2 = subniche

What is this link feature good for beside blogroll managment? Why not simply put links and varying anchor texts within the spinned post? Seems to make more sense to me.

I'm not sure I understand. You can put varying anchor links and texts in when posting to Pligg (comments and stories) and adding to the blogroll.

Don't hold me to this but right now, you can only randomize one link per post, however you can use as many links in content as you want. I think this *may be* changed to allow for variable link display. Personally, when I post content, I don't need to pull a lot of random links. I'm only trying to match a small number of money pages (usually 1) to each post of content. And I can hardcode other links I want in my post.

A dedicated server isn't required.

I run it on an already very loaded WiredTree Hybrid (the lower end one). It can easily run on a VPS or on shared hosting. I know some people are running LFE on hostgator shared right now.

Ok guys I just bought this bad boy and installed the new update of 1.5 today. On hostgator shared server within about an hour you can have it go through create accounts on roughly 1000 blogs. By the time everything was said and done I end up with 445 blogs that I've spent maybe 5 minutes before clicking select all blogs checkbox with 1k blogs on the page. Then I gave the blogs titles I thought of about 6 and have them rotate the rest and hit go.

This thing does what it says its going to do bottom line! Which is great considering most products dont live up to half their promises. Seriously check it out you wont be disappointed.

Right now, I am using this by itself on my thin affiliate sites. On darker projects, I am using a variety of methods.

I advise getting as many links from as many methods as possible in order to rank.

You can get yourself 5 backlinks, 500 backlinks, or 5000 backlinks. It depends on what you are doing and how.

I think post url export may be in the latest version or slated for the next major version release (2.0). I am about a week behind on updates, there was a new version released yesterday (1.5.1)

You can export your blogs to CSV, and you can import existing WP blog farms via CSV as well.

Regarding the scheduler:
I think it's important to be able to simulate natural backlink growth, therefore I'd like to be able to define a time intervall and additionally some kind of multiplier.

Example:

initial number of posts = 3
time intervall = 2 days
multiplier = 1.2

day 1: 3 posts
day 3: 4 posts (1.2 x 3 = 3.6 --> 4)
day 5: 5 posts
...
day 17: 17 posts
day 19: 20 posts
day 21: 24 posts
day 23: 29 posts
...
