Newbiealert Good keyword?

I just started trying to get into I/M over the past few weeks. I tried coming up with some keywords for a niche and am not sure what is decent vs what sucks.

Is this a decent ratio of traffic - competition? It is a "how to" type keyword that I didn't see any ebooks on clickbank for. Could I possibly make this work for an Amazon/adsense site?

Thanks.

What you are seeing is the competition level for advertisers and is not relevant if you are trying to do SEO. You should look at the top 10 competitors for your keyword in Google and see if you can beat them. Several things to check:

1) On page seo of competitors
- are they using exact keyword in title, description, H1

2) Number of backlinks
- check the quality of backlinks (anchor text, PR)

3) Are there any affiliates ranking in the top 10? If there is, it usually gives me more confidence to deal with the keyword.

Hope that helps
