I never see ads under sponsors and I don't have ad block, they don't have any upgrades to pay for (atleast to my knowledge) and there isn't a donation link anywhere so I don't understand how this site runs. Maybe the owner makes enough money off other sites but why run this site for no profit?

Thanks for that link. I guess he isn't in it for the money. He should atleast do what Wikipedia does and have a donation once a year to cover hosting costs. It can't be cheap to run a forum with so many members.

WickedFire mainly profits from variety of memberships it provides:

Bronze membership - $100/month (the is around 7,000 bronze members - date from October 2011)

Silver membership - $150/month (around 3000 members)

Gold Membership - $300/month (around 750 golden members

Premium membership - $500/month (around 500 premium members)

Platinum membership - $10,000/month (around 125 platinum members)

Now do your maths. Anyway this data has been released last December.
