Question Blog Comments

So, this thread title may look familiar... however this time my question isn't quite so retarded.

Let's say I found nice PR AA blog that has tons of blog posts. If I went through several of the posts and made comments, does each comment (and subsequent link) count as its own backlink, or is there some kind of "1 backlink per domain" rule? I can't help but feel like I've found a goldmine since there are tons of posts on this blog with super low OBLs, but I also wonder if I'm wasting my time making multiple comments on a single domain.

They all count, however there are other certain factors.

backlink on page -> more than one gets diminishing returns
backlink on unique domains (referring domain) -> more than one gets diminishing returns
backlink on unique c-block IP -> more than one gets diminishing returns
