Question 301's and backlinks

If I 301'd a url (ie. www.mikesblog.com/how-to-train-your-dog) from one domain to the url of another domain (ie. www.flaminhotcasinotips.com), and made a blog comment with the link of the 301'd url... would it count as a backlink for the domain to which it is 301'd?

In other words, can I can cloak my links for blog comments using a 301?

Yes, you can do that... It's done all the time. However, there are differing opinions on how much link juice the 301 passes. Most people believe its not 100%.

Hi,

It does not pass all the link juice to your site. The 301 redirect is used if you want to send thounsands of spammy shitty links to your site, and Google knows that. That is why you won't get the link juice. You'll get some though.

If 301's passed all their link juice theyd be more powerful then a standard link and the wouldnt work. Plus we'd have all these sites with 301 link menu navigation as compared to regular page nav links.

So to make the system work they have to lose some value

From my experience 301 is passing less and less link juice but still helps especially when you have a problem with sandbox.

301ing a site that is completely irrelevant to another site like in your example above from a dog website to casino website will do more harm than good.

What about semi-related sites?

Example: Dogtraining.com to catanddogpics.com

I use 301 but not for link juice

I use it for the PR transfer

and I've seen a lot of strategies using it to spam backlinks and "cloak" their links

sort of like a more powerful link pyramid

there are lost of views and thoughts about this question is 301 passes link juice or not??different experts have lots of different ideas and experiences and they shares but i think 301 redirects tend to pass lots of link juice from the old page to the new page many websites that move from one address to another tend to perform well, some of them even experiencing an increase in traffic after the change.
