Fuck Need help big time.

So my Wordpress niche sites seem to have gotten malware due to the htaccess file being visible...has anybody ever gotten their sites hacked and what to do when it happens...?

This fucking sucks. I'll be researching but any help is much appreciated.

yes. I've fixed dozens of clients WP sites that this happens to. its very very common (sadly).

1) contact your hosting company and get them to remove the malware
2) update your WP to latest version and all of your plugins
3) Add your website into Google Webmaster Tools area and then submit it to be scanned so the malware warning will go away

The other thing I've noticed is that it affects only certain pages and what not. Like some of the pages on my sites work and then some don't (sites that are infected that is). I believe it was due to a plugin called WPDBManager. I thought I had hidden my htaccess file, but apparently didn't. I removed that plugin from all of my sites.

Well I'm working with my host provider right now. Running a virus scan at the same time. We'll see what happens. I would love to know the homo that did this. I would ruin his life.
