Okay okay, so I've got the writing thing down like a champ, I've been writing articles professionally for a few years, and after getting screwed over by a company (Brighthub) I decided to quit work for myself instead of some crappy company that takes away all the rights to the material I write. So my site its Healthy Living With Destiny | A blog dedicated to helping others live healthier lives.Healthy Living With Destiny | A blog dedicated to helping others live healthier lives.
I have a few questions that would really help. 1. Basically I want to start buildings my articles around keywords that have high demand and low competition, I currently use googled adwords tool, but i'm starting to wonder if that is the right SEO tool to be using? If so, what is a good global monthly search rate to start at? anything about 1,000? 50,000? before I go and SEO all my old posts, I want to make sure I'm building them around the right words in the first place, so using the right tool the right way is very important to me. 2. OKAY MARKETING>>Is is a good idea to build a facebook page for my site or a new account(like a user named healthygirl )? My marketing plan is basic right now, but the idea is to SEO the shit out of my articles, internal link like crazy, make some of my own videos on youtube, join a few forums related to healthy living, and make a bunch of squidoo lenses with back links to my site. Am I missing anything huge here? and yes I've already let the search engines know I exsist. Any tips would be great! I'm currently unemployed and weeping over my wasted biology degree, so In the mean time I'm focusing all my energy on this. Peace, ~HealthyGirl |

Try Market Samurai or Traffic Travis to determine competition. There are others you can use, but I'm not sure how effective they are.
I checked out your Blog and you may want to get more content above the fold. Google released an algorithm around January 20 which tries to devalue sites having little content above. |

I wish the newbie thread starter knows what Marketing Samurai is. @TS : If you remove SEO in your plans, you'll never earned. We all need SEO. |
