I have been using semrush, spyfu, sescout, ahref free versions, but if I was going to pay for one service (limited budget) which would be the best bang for my buck and give me the most tools???

You don't need paid software, learn about SEO more and you will realise. Check out majesticseo for backlinks, market samurai (free version, keep getting trials) for competition, etc etc
