I was just on Jon's blog reading his post, "Why investing in cheap domains & blogs is better than the stock market" and he said, "I also used some verrrry cheap hosting accounts that came out to less than $150 for the year for all of the accounts spread across multiple hosts."
I'm currently using HostGator's 10 bucks a month plan so for a year it comes out to about $120... and that's just for one host (with unlimited domains on it). In the comments section of that post Jon says that he split it up into 100 domain chunks on different IPs.... now if I were to do that while going with a company like HostGator it would come out to waaay more than the $150 total hosting cost stated in the blog post. So my question is... where can I find verrrrry cheap hosting? Because even if I go with those $1 a month plans per domain it would come out to way more than the amount stated in the blog post. |

I use a hostnine.com reseller account for small projects like this that need to be separated - they offer you the capability to host sites on any of 10 separate data centers across the world, costs $20 a month for their intro level package with a half off coupon available on their website for the first month you should check them out.

Here's one: DSBHosting (aff), $2.99 a month for 1Gb/15Gb.
Have a look on eBay as well, loads of cheap hosting companies there. I've noticed on eBay you tend to get what you pay for - I've had probs with some cheap eBay deals - loads of downtime, shitty support, etc and I definitely wouldn't touch 99% of the resellers on there. There's always cheap deals on Di***alPoint - but mostly cowboys and kids.At least on eBay you can get an idea from their feedback and I'm sure there's plenty other small hosting companies like DSB out there with similar prices. NearlyFreeSpeech has been recommended to me, but I've not used them yet. Kinda pay as you go hosting, you only pay for what you use. Might be worth a look.
