If I don't have a credit card or any other means of paying for a domain and hosting, would it be possible for me to start making money online on a free blog? I'm still just a student (15 years) and finally my holidays have started so I'm hoping to earn a bit of money online.

I'm 15 also, and I know firsthand that the only way to make money is to have seed money. Get over yourself, invest $100 in stocks, take the earnings from that and buy some server space and Wordpress.

Also...if you are asking that question..why the hell would you want to start a Make Money Online blog?

So how do you go about investing $100 in stocks? I've only ever done paper trading before, where do you go to invest in stocks/forex/options whatever without a credit card?

Because I have no money. Lol, is there any other way to make money online without spending money?

Sign up for an affiliate program like Copeac or CPA Empire (both aff links.) Use a voucher for $100 in free YSM (Yahoo Search Marketing) credits. Look around on this board for the coupons, I know they're around. Read all you can on this board about PPC marketing, then see what you can make with that $100 credit. With that money, buy a domain name ($6) and some hosting. Check out my post on one cheap web host, mysite hosting - I've never used them but you can get decent hosting for $4 or $5/month, paid upfront for a year just like most hosts. That's cheap. With that you also get $25 in Google AdWords credits (if you liked doing PPC.) Once you start making money with AdSense or other stuff, buy better hosting if MySite Hosting wasn't very good. You can get decent shared hosting plans for $8/month with HostGator, BlueHost, etc. Just look at what they have to offer first and make sure it fits your needs.

To answer your original question, yes you can make money online with your blog. Im assuming you want to link to some affiliate sites? Its done all the time. And Adsense is a great idea.

Take the advice from the previous post and run with it. Learn as you go. You will make mistakes. Don't quit, just continue to find ways to make it work.

You said you're 15? Guys will pay a premium for your mouth. Suck 3 dicks and you will have enough for a few domains and a few months of hosting. Download wordpress and install it, start writing, and then throw up some adsense. That should get you going.

On a more serious note- use blogger and throw up some adsense. It may not be ideal, but everyone has to start somewhere. If your parents are willing to let you use their Credit Card to pay for hosting/ domain(s)- then mow the lawn and scrub the toilets and make some cash.

Thanks for all the advice. I think I shall start up a blogger account as you have said. Since a "make money online" blog is out of the question, would there be any other niches that could be profitable? Say Anime or WoW gold or something?

Alright, after looking at more posts, which do involve methods costing money. I am quite discouraged. The cheapest method I've seen so far involves 3 months of effort and not much returns.

I suppose I'll just wait for my birthday next month to register for a debit card.

Erm, yes. It can be discouraging. I'm afraid there's no silver method of turning the dross on the web into gold. But if you work at it hard you might find something.

Well I don't know much about your current situation other than you are 15. If I could be 15 again and yet have the knowledge (or lack there of ) that I do now, but still have the room and board with the old parentals...I would learn everything I can about the industry. Play around with the free stuff mentioned, go through all the tutorials, really learn php, save up the allowance..etc That way as soon as you hit 18 (or whatever age you are allowed credit) You're rearing to go! I mean think about it...no kids, no ball and chain, no mortgage- just you and your ingenuity.

you can use terapad.com for free they run adsense on the blog, which they get paid for, but you can start a blog sign up with some aff. programs slap some banners and links to the merch.

Although if I were you I would spring the money for a domain and some cheap hosting and throw up a wordpress blog.

You could start with Hub Pages and Squidoo. Both will allow you to earn some cash. You can use those platforms with blogspot, live journal etc and learn some seo in a white hat kind of way.

With Hubpages you can make money with adsense, amazon and ebay. Squidoo is a little tougher but you can earn direct amazon commission without sharing them with the Squid. You can also use Squidoo to convert affiliate offers as well.

As far as that goes I may be willing to buy you a domain and give you free hosting on one of my servers in exchange for performing some mundane tasks.
