Is it legal to copy and paste news reports as long as the source is noted?

If not, how can I use that source on a website without being taken to task? Could I copy a paragraph and link to news site? Just not sure how to legally do this.

Of course, I would prefer to be able to use the entire article and note the source.

Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure it's legal as long as credit is given. Then again, it could depend on the site in question.

If nothing else, your best bet would be to paraphrase the article and then link to it.

Fair use says that you can use the first couple of paragraphs and then quote the source. But shit gets ripped all the time so,
