Newbiealert Stuck getting started.

I'm not sure what I should be doing to get started with AMing.

I have registered my Ebay Affiliate account, now I am wondering what I should do. Also, I don't have any initial investment to buy phpBay, thats part of why I'm stuck at this point.

If anyone has any suggestions please post them.

1. Ebay is not the only game in town
2. Read the fucking threads on this forum to learn ways to AM on a shoestring budget
3. If you cannot afford the cost of phpbay - get a job at McDonalds
4. While working at McDonalds, read this fucking forum

Hard spot - here's my $0.02

You dont *need* a website, but it can really help. I searched a bit for Dreamhost discount codes and it seems they have a good one back up:

DreamHost Promo Codes (not my site - first ad from search query)

That code will get you ONE YEAR of hosting and a FREE domain name with Dreamhost for like $22.00 (scrounge up the cash) - with one domain, you can create hundreds of sites via subdomains allowing you to push out offers.

Some posts to look over that might help (pay attention to the techniques, not the big money headlines):

$800 a day with Yahoo Answers
Make Money with Clickbank, Make $400 a Month with Clickbank
Blue Hat SEO-Advanced SEO Tactics » The Absolute Fastest Way To Make Money Online
Blue Hat SEO-Advanced SEO Tactics » User Contributed-Making Money With A Video Blog

Most of those are a bit old, so try and get creative with them, dont follow them word-for-word, add your own unique twists to them... For $22 bucks you have 1 full year of experimentation and opportunities to generate income...

So let me get this straight.
You cannot afford $7 for a domain. You can direct link the offers to the landing page. But then, you wont have money to send the traffic to your landing page via PPC. So, I stand by my first recommendation. Get a fucking job at McDonalds.

Easy everyone, the dude is 16. First of all congratulations on even finding this forum, not to even mention your interest in affiliate marketing. I wish I had known about affiliate marketing when I was your age.

Even though acemenace's advice may have been a bit harsh, that was solid advice. I use phpbay myself and you can EASILY earn $1k or so by your 3rd month. Granted you might need 5 different phpbay sites with high value items, but it's easy and can be done.

You're 16, I'm sure your friends are into custom air force 1's, gadgets etc. Start a few phpbay sites around those items, restrict your display settings to items over $99 and tell all your friends about it.

You are going to need some money to get started, so you will have to get a real job. Paint some fences in your neighborhood, borrow a lawn mower and cut some grass etc. You really need to be resourceful and creative.

Whatever you do, do not give up on affiliate marketing. Stay with it, you will have your stumbles along the way but in a few years you will be at acemenace's level.

Just take it easy on some 16yr old who wants to know how to get started :-)

Can't go wrong there. I'll give hosting for one domain for 6 months.

Thanks guys
I'm getting a copy of phpBay. I do have hosting, sorry I didn't mention that, but all I own is mattdsworld.com, not really a hot domain for selling stuff and that sort of thing. I actually managed to get my hands on app-solutions.net and 3developonline.com.

app-solutions I was thinking of doing some sort of software site, 3developonline I was thinking more along the lines of a forum for 3D Animators/Designers and sell it on SitePoint after a bit of promotion (that should give me some funding for other projects).
