I try not to put adsense ads on my affiliate sites.

You should definitely test it out tough. If the niche pays a lot on the content network, it might be worth it.

By all means, use adsense. I need traffic from the content network after all.

Indeed.

However, I personally avoid using adsense on affiliate sites. Just a preference, probably because I view sites through the eyes of someone who does what we do (who does do?). Meaning that if I'm actually looking to buy a product and I see adsense crammed all over the site, I tend to trust it less. /cynical, I guess.

But as CS suggested...couldn't hurt to try it out. Just don't sacrifice the already-converting design of your site to try and bank on a few extra bucks.

I hate seeing Adsense on a corporate homepage. Makes it look so cheesy.

Hey... Thanks for your replys. Yes i also think it looks cheesy, but i guess i will test it out. Hoped that there was a clear answer, that adsense always is a good idea, or never, when used in affiliate pages.. But i guess its different from site to site..

Thanks.. And I hope you understand my weak english.

In order to make the best decision for you, several factors need to be considered.

Like, it also depends upon how well you blend your Adsense ads with your content.

I end up thinking "You're so desperate to pay bills you're happy to get $0.02 clicks, which means people can't be buying your product all that much, which probably means it's inferior".

Yeah, as CShoemaker says, "test it out". I know that I tested and over-tested these things and depending on the product you are promoting and the placement of the ads on the site, you might see that part of the your traffic (not interested in your offers) is going for the Adsense, so you are actually not loosing anything, just something to gain. There are consumers that are browsing a lot before they really get to the action.
