Seo Organic SEO with GoDaddy

Has anyone ever had success with organic SEO with an instant ecommerce site from GoDaddy? Since the customization it limited, I was wondering what you did to help drive traffic.

I think anyone serious at making money online would not put themselves at such a disadvantage.

I agree, unfortunately the person I am helping paid for a year upfront.

I wanted to try to be as organic as possible and then move to ppc, but from what I'm finding on the interwebs its pretty much useless.

shudogg has a spectacular aura about
Try building a real website isntead of using a builder. There are CGI shopping carts and all kinds of scripts out there. It depends on what you are wanting to do. Never use the built in tools that your hosting company provides. I don't even use the one from 1&1 to submit to search engines. You could create an amazon store or something more flexible. Is it Yahoo that has a shopping cart script? I don't remember.

1st - search google for what you are wanting to do (ie: self hosted shopping cart)
Once you narrow it down, you may be able to post back here for some help. We aren't going to search the interweb and make the decision for you.

Or you could pay a programmer..

Like I said in a previous post, this is not my site. I'm merely trying to help someone who has paid for a year upfront with GoDaddy's quick shopping cart app.

Trust me, once that year runs up, I'll be hosting her site instead of GoDaddy's crap.

And I've searched the interwebs up and down looking for people with any success with an instant GoDaddy site, this was a last resort.

Even if they paid for a year of their shopping cart don't waste your time. So you lose a few bucks on the hosting, big deal. You're going to lose 10X that if you stay with them.

It sounds cheesy, but time is money.

I'm always intrigued when I see parked godaddy domains indexed. What's up with that? Alas that has nothing to do with your question. If there is one tip I had wished I'd followed sooner when I first joined WF was to use Wordpress from the start. There is so much you can do with Wordpress and it is so easy (even for a non programmer like me). I suggest reading the thread Jon did on "how to get started" and following each step. It really works!

You don't need to wait for the year to run up with GoDaddy. If you cancel now they will prorate the year paid for and credit you the difference. Definetly best to create your own site now.

Honestly tweak, I think your client/customer/friend/whatever will actually SAVE money/time if they accept the fact that they made a shitty decision. If you really want to help, get her away from godaddy period and have her set up a real site.

/hates godaddy
