Fuck How many hours a week do you work?

I'm still trying to get set up, and pretty inept technically so I had to hire 3 people over 4 days. Still, I'm working 16 hour days on my site and it's not ready yet. I haven't been outside in days, and my neighbors probably think it's because I went insane and won't leave the house.

Once you're finally set up and running, how much does this AM stuff take out of you? I'm pretty ragged now from the work I'm doing.

I usually work around 65-80 hours per week.

I keep busy.

I am addicted to online marketing. I typically work a 8-10 hour day. Then play with the kid or wife (whoever is up for it) and then when they lay down, I am back online. But I love it. And I only sleep 3-4 hours a night so that helps.

Yeah I usually go about 14 to 16 hour days as well and everyone calls me crazy and shouldn't do those insane hours but sometimes to get to where you want to be you've got to haul ass and just get it done.

affiliatehustle has a spectacular aura about
I'm amazed at the people who are able to work a regular full-time job AND work on their sites in the off hours. Back when I was a 9-5'er it was hard to find the time and energy.

Love your avatar.

I'm working from the crack of dawn into the night, but not at making money - just trying to set up and do simple things that should take 5 minutes but takes me hours. It's very frustrating and demoralizing.

I work a full and part-time wage earning job, write for pay, and am trying to develop sites. Nothing gets my full attention and I spend too much time at the computer. I am on track to be working one part-time job, write, and work on internet ventures by my 49th birthday (April 2009)!

TAKE A BREAK. You have stopped being efficient. Take a break, then get back to work, you will feel better and become more efficient.

Make sure you eat (especially protein) and sleep so your brain can function efficiently.

Pair up with someone who is good at what you need and needs what you are good at. When I first started I did my best to learn, but learned when to say when and let someone else do something. My son, Bob Schmuck, would help me with a problem on a site setup (his strength) and I'd write for him (my strength).

What exactly are you setting up that is so consuming? Maybe we can help with ideas to make it easier or tell you what not to waste your time on.

I'm working on a site that is to be what they call an authority site, a blog with affiliate links and Adsense. Writing is my strength as well. As far as the tech stuff goes, I am worse than pathetic.

I don't even know html or how to properly address a site to go live. The template I had custom made needs changes, and I don't know how to do anything without ruining the CSS. I'm trying to do simple things like make a graphic affiliate ad move to the right of the column. I spent the morning looking for the html code, but it still won't work.

I hired a guy in India and he's doing stuff piecemeal, like changing the link addressing, and we're trying to figure out what's wrong with my affiliate link masking. The widget I'm using to mask them is turning my affiliate links into 404 pages. I loaded a Kontera widget but no code shows up, so I loaded the code manually and I get funny boxes with no ads.

It goes on and on and on and on - from 7 a.m. until midnight. I haven't been away from the house in 3 days. Occasionally, I learn how to do a thing or two. I feel like crying, truly. I am so pathetic, I had to hire somebody to upload Wordpress to my server because it wasn't working.

I put in 68 hours on my day job last week plus who knows how much on AM. It's a lot.

9-5 as a developer/programmer plus an additional 4-6 hours after that on my own shit

In a given day I probably spend 14 hours in front of a comp actually programming..

Is it bad that my fingertips start to tingle?

My normal job right now I work 30-60 hours depending on the amount of work we have. I work on my AM stuff all the other time I have besides Thursday and Friday night, as those are reserved to keep me socially active and not a totally ass hat.

hannahmcintyre has a spectacular aura about
35-ish hours a week doing my "normal" job and then practically very single other hour of the day except when I make dinner and sleep I'm doing AM.
