RSS backlinks
This is probably a stupid question but anyway. I keep seeing occasional blog and forum posts about how people get lots of links using rss feeds. Is this becuase some sites somewhere are displaying the actual xml feed with links back to the source? I think i have seen it this before when doing backlink research on some of my competitors and i see 100s of links from feedburner to their site, but i didnt really understand what it was or how it works.
Then today i stumbled accross this post: Backlinks Are B-E-A-UTIFUL! | Cash Tactics Dude talks about combining everything you have thats rss related into one feed which i get, then you submit to RSS Aggregators like RSS feed Directory - Feedage.com However i still dont get how this gets you backlinks. Any help appreciated. C |

Well, what happens is while you are submitting your feed to the aggregators, there are others that are picking up your feed and publishing them somewhere else with links back to your original post, etc.

Pretty well the best ranking rss aggregator for me is Feedagg.com
I often get to page one for long tails just with a post to this site, so give it a try. Here is a video on my blog showing the power of using these rss aggregator sites.
