Hi guys,

Just wondering if you can help me out with a domain name question, I currently own 2 domain names exactly the same except one ends with .com the other with .com.au

As I want to target the Australian market from a search engine point of view would I be better off going with the .com.au domain or does it make no difference at all?

Is it a commercial/business site? Or just a personal AM site?

It's better from a business perspective to have the .com.au, but in terms of the search engine I'm not sure. You could always have the .com.au as your primary site and have a simple php redirect to the .com.au site from the .com site. Then you'll have the best of both worlds.

Go with com.au and host your site on a Australian server.

It's a niche site with some affiliate links that are aimed at the Aussie market. Any particular reason to host on an Australian server rather then else where?
