Hey all,
I've had a single group of 4 ads on AdWords for almost a week now, but I haven't gotten ANY impressions. I'm using "placements only" (no keywords), and selected about 20 sites related to my niche (ringtones). I went through some "lessons" and "tools" in AdWords help to spot common causes of this problem, but none helped. My first guess was my CPC was set too low. I've incrementally upped it to EUR 5.00, but still no impressions. Daily budget set to EUR 20.00, perhaps that's too low - AdWords' "auto-budget-thing" said it was OK though. My landing page is part of a tiny 5-page site that I mocked up just to have something around the landing page really. But I'm starting to think it's the low quality of the landing page/site that's preventing any impressions.... Is that possible? On my Campaign Summary it's saying placements "On" though, and I read that sometimes it says "Off: Low page quality" or something.... Can anyone give me any pointers on what I'm doing wrong? Is it probably the landing page/site? How can I determine what's causing this? Should I contact the AdWords staff or is that gonna mess with me considering the landing site isn't that much? Thanks in advance!! |

new accounts get verified by the adwords team, may be thats the reason.
it can be either ,that your bid for the particular keyword was low. check, whether your ads are showing or not, there will be a reason if they are not showing, you can perform necessary corrections for the same. im not so experienced, but its just of my experience that i thought to share.Thanx |

Thanks for your reply. However I'm bidding EUR 5.00 CPC (high). Btw i'm not using keywords, just placements. If the AdWords team is still verifying my account like you mentioned, would my campaign / ad group still show as status Active?
Any more ideas? Thanks in advance. Quote:

For other people with the same issue: I found the answer. I contacted AdWords support and they said that each ad has to be reviewed and approved before it becomes active. So sean3 was basically right.
Although it's still weird imo that the ad status are shown as Active. "Awaiting approval" would be more appropriate...... Cheers |
