I'm fairly new in mainstream (as porn webmasters define anything that is related to making money online and ain't porn and would need some guidance from you folks.

I'm looking for shoot & forget (more or less) system. This is what I did in porn - building galleries, free and AVS sites, hubs, crosslinking them, adding new sites to the network... all of these required next to none maintenance while every single page would payoff well sooner or later.

All the time I also had some design-related sites at which I was selling my own products and services (logos, web design, clipart, templates and such) but never ran any third party ads on them. Now after I sold out my porn network the first thing I did was filling them out with adsense and some microstock ads. Results: microstock next to nothing, adsense $1 per 1K PV so I said WTF I had something like $20 per 1K page views in porn. I thought that people were making a killing with adsense and such and that us porn peddlers are wasting time submitting galleries to TGPs =)

So my question would be: except for showing adsense ads what else can I do to monetize my mainstream traffic? I have something like 4K UV / 12K PV at the moment, should be enough for small tests yes?

Figure out what the demos of the traffic are and run CPA offers.

You can get a much higher ecpm with Adsense than that but you have to place the ads strategically so people click on them. It usually makes the site look shitty. Low credability but more money. But design is a low paying adsense niche anyway (I have a clipart site that gets less than 5 cents per click) so an affiliate product is better.
