I love my site so I'm not stopping even if it doesn't make money after several months. I think thats what keeps me motivated- I keep my expectations low and my goals high. Kind of a weird train of thought but it works.

I don't wish to submit my articles at this time. Maybe in the future.

Day 33 Summary:

-Created a linkwheel with these sites. I also added an RSS feed to squidoo and added anchor text to the squidoo links.

-4 more days till bidvertiser is suppose to schedule to pay me threw paypal. I'm gonna use some of the money to buy a 100 social bookmarking package in the sell/buy trade section.
-My Bidvertiser ad is still pending
-Will add blog post later on. After that post is made, my site will then have 100 posts and 9 pages.

I'm can't really understand "meta tags" and all of that stuff. all-in-one SEO puts in the title, description, and keywords for me. Are they the same thing?

I don't have the money for an autoresponder at the time. If I do; it will be after I get a good flow of traffic going (at least 700+ a day).

My goal is to get a constant revenue flow with ads and clickbank and affiliate sales. My first goal is to break even before I have to re-purchase my hosting which is about 11-12 months.

I'm actually thinking about making my own product and its in the works right now. Read "my blog".....I'm following this crazy diet and I'm calling it the PSMF experiment and if it works I'm probably gonna write a book or e-book on it.

I just looked- yeah its down I accidentely deleted it.

I think I'm gonna keep it that way. Amazon products convert bad and you get crappy commissions and I just don't like the store look.

I think I'm gonna use my new affiliate program shareasale.com and put some stuff up there.

If I can't find products that relate to my niche though I'll put amazon back up.

you should check out pingler.com you can ping up to 91 sites, once per day or 4 times if you take out the "www" and "http://" I'm not sure if quad pingging does anything more than a single ping but it's worth a try:

ex. www.your-site.com, your-site.com, http://your-site.com, http://www.your-site.com

Thanks, I used it but I'm not exactly sure what pinging does.

I added the subscription on my homepage but looks a little crappy because the "name" and "email" are out of line. If I try editing it, it doesn't work. Another issue is when you sign up; it brings you to the index.php of my site and if I try to edit that it doesn't work.

I tested on my own email and it seems the subscription itself works. The confirm works, and then it sends you email "0". I will wait till tommorow and see if I receive the first email in the newsletter.

My newsletter has up to 3 emails and its promoting a fatloss meal plan from clickbank. We will see if I get any leads in the next couple of days.

Day 36 Summary:

-Will add one post to my blog later
-Submitted 10 articles to enzine (which all include my backlink of course) and currently awaiting approval. They are all unique so I shouldn't have to worry about being rejected or banned.
-I had a record 304 visitors to my site yesterday. My goal is to reach 1000 visitors in one day.
-Took off the email list on my home-page. The autoresponder is not working and I'm not gonna fool around with it. I'll wait till I start getting a steady flow of good traffic to figure out how to put one in properly. I think finding a free autoresponder is hard to implement. I couldn't get the PHPlist to work.
-Tommorow is the start of July and I have the minimum amount of money in bidvertiser- lets see if they pay me.

-Will bidvertiser pay me tommorow instantly or is validation gonna take a while?

-When bidvertiser pays me I'm gonna buy some social bookmarking packages in the buy/sell/trade section. This should get me around 100-150 more backlinks depending on who I use.

i would start now looking at your competition and see what they are doing to earn money. Since that kind of "niche" is not really new i am sure there will be plenty around that monetize since months. So go and get some ideas from them maybe?
After that i would go and optimize your page, see what users are doing on your page link to some money making stuff inside your articles or write revies about related products where you can throw several links to a offer page or w/e.

Since you have just "started" doing that kind of business, its more likely that your optimization progress and setting up new ways for money will take some time so better start now then having your 1k visitors/day and no real income from them. Afterall you are working to make money, if you do not make money you could also go out and work at a supermarket or on the fields

Day 37 Summary:

-Spent the entire day fixing my computer. My little brother messed up something on the computer, got us a virus, etc and he used system recovery on it. My computer was set back to like 2003 and I had to fix it today. I was very angry; lost some important files with all my login stuff, all my favorites, my macromedia programs, my file zilla client, and had windows explorer 6 :/
-So I spent the day deleting unnessary programs, updating the computer, running a virus scan, cleaning disk space, defragmenting.
-Bidvertiser has not paid me yet but they should be paying me today

Great read lemon. The fact that you are actually continuing to dedicate yourself to this site and follow everyone's suggestions already proves something about your character. Keep the updates going, you are on a great track so far and should now start dedicating some more time to monetizing that traffic. Your homepage is a little clustered and the "hero" image really takes up a lot of space for how low quality it is. Take a look at some proven landing pages and maybe try to adapt yours to include some clean horizontal banners in-between line breaks every page or so. Keep it up!

Day 38 Summary:

-My bidvetiser payment is in audit and now I won't get it until July 31. This sucks.
-Adding one post to my blog later in the day
-My ezine articles are currently under review
-If they all get accepted, and hopefully when I apply to premium and get it, I'm just gonna be rewriting all of my articles and get a good amount of backlinks from there.

Day 39 Summary:

-Thanks francky, my site was not on bing like I thought. Bing looks like its gonna be the next big thing.
-My ezine articles are still being looked at. Once there approved I'm just gonna be writing articles and getting a lot of backlinks from that
-The majority of my traffic is coming from wikipedia links. I'm gonna try to find ways to get more backlinks from wikipedia. The rest of my traffic is coming from google and yahoo but I only get 30 visitors a day from the search engines.
-Gonna look for keywords that haven't been hit yet and optimize my site on them.
-Bidvertiser sucks; as soon as I get my payment I'm gonna look for something else. Again, I can't get google adsense because I was banned 2 years ago for using automated traffic; and I already tried reapplying (my mistake)
-(O/T) one card away from a royal flush today...

I don't know how you're tracking your visitors, but if you're not already doing so I'd recommend using something like Google Analytics or Statcounter to see where your visits are coming from, what keywords they used to find you, etc.

It's been a while since I've done SEO and driving organic traffic (and I was never really great at it to begin with) but the only real advice I can give is to keep working at it every day and start building more sites. It might be a while before you see those first conversions so stick with it. Good luck bro.

How so? If the google bot doesn't spider the link it doesn't offer any benefit aside from an actual person that sees the link and decides to follow it. I reread up on nofollow before responding in case my understanding was (more often than not) off. I pulled the following quote from a Matt Cutts response to a question concerning nofollow:

for Google, nofollow'ed links are dropped out of our link graph; we don't even use such links for discovery.
